Stantons next 4 games ...
Port (Kornes)
Swans (Kirk)
Tigers (possibly Tuck)
Hawks (Sewell)
Might be the week to jump of Stanton before a price drop and jump on one of the much more promising midfielders. Will only cost you a small upgrade.
Also there is a large thread on the bombers board bagging the crap out of Stanton for his decision making, skills and work rate. Not a popular boy at the moment.
Disagree with ditching him at the moment. Jobe is more tag-worthy at the moment, and McVeigh will come back in over the coming weeks. Seems silly to get off Stanton when he's actually improved scoring since McVeigh's been out, and McVeigh will probably attract the tags this time once he's back in. He's averaged 100 over the last three weeks

Your probably right. Alot of what I say is out of frustration of picking him up over some of the other mid's around his price at start of season. They all seem to be getting 100+ weekly.
Ill stick with him for another week. Probably should worry more about upgrading his teamate NLM who has dudded me more than anyone. Has been VERY average.

Oh I certainly agree its been frustrating, was really disappointed too. But I'm encouraged that he's almost got his value back up to his starting price. That's something at least. Aside from absolute shockers in the first two weeks, I think he's been going along reasonably... far better than J Brown or B Johnson, for example, who cost me a hell of a lot more.
Yep, that's what I told myself last night to get myself to sleep... Better than Brown, or Johnson, or Bowden...heh... someone spent a little big on the midfield...Guys I currently have a midfield of Stanton, Ling, Stevens, Mitchell, Cross and Palmer with Priddis and Valenti on the bench...
When Priddis comes back I really don't want to have a player of Rhys Palmer's calibre sitting on the bench...so...
I want Palmer to start and therefore must get rid of one of my 'star' midfielders...assuming Priddis comes back for rd 8 would I be best off getting rid of Stanton for say Steven Browne?
Surely of all my current mids he would be the logical one to let go..

heh... someone spent a little big on the midfield...
If you're gunna be relegating him to the pine anyways, then yeah, I would be trading him down...
didnt really spend big on the midfield walesy if you consider that palmer was something like $101,000 and valenti $83,000 at the start of the year..
I meant your on-field contingent...

Stanton's price will go seriously south if he has an ordinary game against the swans. Given that he'll be wearing a KJack backpack all game I reckon there is every chance he'll score a season low. I'm dumping him this week.
Jacks an average tagger at best.

Jacks an average tagger at best.
As predicted, Stanton was very ordinary against the swans even though Jack had a bad game. Losing Watson before the game didn't help his cause, and Mcveigh was underdone. But he's not the player I thought he was when I picked him at the start of the year.
