i have brent stanton

im also serious about being among the top supercoaches aswell. meaning, if i know stanton will have a low scoring game against taggers then why keep him any longer?

would you rather trade him while he is still above 500k or wait til he drops to around 430k?

or

keep him and hope he fires up against ling and other tagers. he is vsing carlton in round 3, so he would probs score high in that. but is it worth waiting for when you can find another gun sc player instead?

Every trade you waste by trading one gun for another, is essentially a gun at mid-season that you can't trade into.

If you really think Stants is going to go down to a 40-60 average, then sure, pull the trigger, but in reality, it's just one bad game.

Sticking with Stanton this week, anything below 90 and a early trade might be on the cards.

He is getting tagged by Ling this week ;)

Ling destroyed Shaun last week... probably gunna do othe same thing to Stants this week...

Meh, tough run have the 2 best taggers in the league in games 1 and 2... but on the plus side, at least they happened in rounds 1 and 2... the 2 rounds that have the least effect on salary movement. :)

wow, that's a quality assumption made on a basis of nothing if ever I saw one. ;)
To be fair, even though the guy is a newbie on BigFooty, he knows a fair bit about team sports - he coached the Mighty Ducks! ;)

It's made on the basis that if he cant handle a tag from brady rawlings, who in saying that is very good at what he does, he wont be able to handle ling, who is just as good if not better. The quality of the geelong midfield is far too much for the young essendon midfield. But hey hopefully im wrong, Stanton is in my team.

I'd certainly wait for more than one game before jumping to conclusions. Its tempting to drop Stanton, for sure, but...

The guy may have just had a bad day. Tagged, yes, but who knows? Perhaps he has a blinder next week and has us eating our words? Unlikely, but not impossible.

Anyone who trades Stanton this round is an idiot. Maybe in hindsight i will be wrong but there is no way you trade a player who should be a keeper for the whole year based on one performace.

What if it's for Dal Santo? ;)

I agree though.

Keep on stants. After Rawlings and Ling there wont be much else. Besides Stants still managed 11 touches in a half. Given that he won't start that shit again he will still probably get his 20 touches.

The man speaks wisely.

Shipped him out for Clint Young and some cash - Clint has hardened up (but thats hard to judge against melbourne.)

Milne and Didak looking shaky - but they have easier tasks this week

I booted him for Ablett before this round. I am pleased I did that, even though he now plays without a tagger, he seems more of DT material than SC. if the afl scores are accurate.. he only got like 35 SC at this time (70+ DT), what a waste of half a million worth.
