I thought he was in line for President2 yr learning period for Sutherland?
Thought he was moving on after this contract. He’s the best in the business great to have him stay at the club.
Of course many on here won’t like it for whatever reason.
I think he wanted to see out the stadium redevelopment and stage 5 doesn't start until next year - so maybe it's all timed to complete that and name it the Brian Cook Stand as he walks out the door..
Fresh blood with a new long term vision. Someone younger then 50.And replaced by who?
2 years keeping Sutherland on a leash and between the bumper rails on the bowling alley.2 yr learning period for Sutherland?
Would not have recruited surherland if this is the case.2 years keeping Sutherland on a leash and between the bumper rails on the bowling alley.
Cookie may be many things but stupid aint one of them. Last thing he wants it so see the monument he built undone by dumb shit.
But yes, makes sense to get Sutherland in line

Agree. And 'phew' we won't have to endure Sutherland in that role.Biggest move was to retain Cook great work cats...
Seeds your talking about one of the greatest CEO's in Sports administration world wide, anybody we replace him with will be far inferiorAwful news. Cook, carter and scott need to go.
I'm guessing there are two primary reasons for the extension. One is related to completing the re-development. The other is to find and groom a successor. Each time he's done that - Fox and Reeves - the Hawks have pinched him.I'm hoping that this puts an end to the threat of the club's Board compounding their serious error of judgement with Sutherland. Hopefully this means he is not being lined up for the CEO role (Saint Brian's appointment wouldn't be 2 years I would think if he was). Surely they realise how foul the place would smell if he became Chair, even with Saint Brian in the CEO role. Hopefully the 2 years isn't to settle Sutherland in as Chair, trading on Saint Brian's credit chips.
The Last 7 years wouldnt have happened if he was one of the greatest.Seeds your talking about one of the greatest CEO's in Sports administration world wide, anybody we replace him with will be far inferior
