Come on Bucks, now is the time, he's got the runs on the board, finals are upon us, time to see what Dids can still do on the big stage.
Now or never !!

ps I know there a few other threads that have discussed Didak, however thought he deserved his own thread.....as this is the week to bring him in (& may be his last chance to dance)

I agree, 34 touches and 1.4 (I think?) in the VFL suggests that he's back in the kind of form which could be very useful to the senior side, especially if it can be carried into September...

As everyone who has any involvement in match committee always says, if you perform you will get picked.

The Dawks game really highlighted the need for Didak and perhaps Seedsman in the finals - players with excellent and creative disposal into the F50. F50 delivery was often poor and wasted a lot of opportunities. Also probably Krak if fit and firing, as a brilliantly creative one-touch crumber. I'll be p'd off if Didak is not picked next week, and the members should be more p'd because they are paying his salary and it's time for him to earn it. Shame about DAisy, could literally be the diff between a GF or not a GF this year.
Also Hudson app did well as a forward in the magoos - might be worth trying him this week. A finals veteran and raging bull in the forward line alongside Cloke and Reid could really make a diff in finals.

Seedsman and Kennedy will be picked before Dids

If your looking to the future TD, yes Seedsman and Kennedy, but for the here and now, it`s Dids,
I`m not giving up on this year just yet, too much has been happening in the AFL world this season and something is telling me, that there is something special how this year`s flag is going to be won.

We scored 84 points against the hawks without great accuracy...

The real issue here is how do we stop the hawks scoring well over 100 points every time we play them, and the answer is more accountable players, not didak and seedsmen !

You can't think of any reasons?
Because he was awesome 3 years ago... why doesnt Jolly get this same respect? Why didnt Tarkyn Lockyer in his last year? -- or is it reserved for the 'flashy' guys who make a highlight reel...

Honestly Dids is close to my favourite player - still is and always will be, if its a farewell game then so be it - the club needs to announce that... but if its selecting on form - then Martin should be in as his year has been phenomenal getting more touches, kicking more goals, applying more defensive pressure, has more future potential with the club...etc. This year I cant think of one thing Didak is doing better than Martin.

If Elliot is out I would bring in Didak 100%. He has been working really hard in the VFL and doing well and on top of that he is a club legend. There is no way I would play Kennedy over Didak in finals, he is like a feather and will get pushed off the ball way to easily.

Like a poster above said we need some skill going inside 50 and if we can fix that area we are a genuine premiership threat and I can't think of a better way to improve that area than bringing Didak in the side. The same man who for so long has been regarded as the best ball user at the club.

Also like Matty said, on Thursday we will find out if his career is over, if he doesn't get picked this week he never will.

Spot on, every time we play them we follow the same pattern. TBH they could have scored a lot more than 18 goals if it weren't for the conditions. Last four times we've scored 91, 97, 90, 84. Attack isn't an issue against them.

Who to bring in for next time though...?

Why not? If we had scored 6 more goals we would have won. I think we botched a lot more than 6 opportunities through sloppy entries. Taking away their 2 umpire gift-wrapped goals we only needed 4 more goals. Ppl say you can't beat Dawks in a shoot-out, I say why not? With our current team and set-ups I think that's the only way we can beat them.

Seeing as the previous three times we've beaten them (in fact the only three since 2006), we kept them to scores of 59, 65 and 65, I reckon it's easier to try and lock down. Then the closest we got after that was the three point loss in 2010 when they scored 98, and you can throw in the 2007 game when it was roughly 90-80. Every other loss in that period has been a score conceded over 100 I'm pretty sure - no surprise they've all been heavy.
