Ok, time for a realistic Carlton view on Friday night.

Both Collingwood and Carlton haven’t beaten anyone yet so it’ll be great for us to measure ourselves against the best.

I think the first 10min will be pretty hot and heavy, but Collingwood should settle and come away with a win. Really hoping we’re hard at it and super competitive.

Very interested to see where we’re at and Collingwood is the perfect test.

Richie.

I"m with Optie here.

I'm almost scared for Carlton on Friday....almost.

I said over 10 goals for the last 2 games, and I've been right so far, gonna have to stick with tradition.

Over 10 goals again on Friday. But I don't think the margin will actually reflect the brutality that will take place. This side LOVES loves LOOOOOVES playing on Friday nights, and hasn't done so in a while, and it's been YEARS since we played the Blues on a Friday night.

I suspect they're going to come out breathing fire.

I've never seen a Collingwood supporter push a women down the stairs on the top deck.

I've never seen a Collingwood supporter deliberately spill a beer on a 5 year old girl.

I could go on.

Yes, we have our bad element, but Carlton are worse, their "average" supporter is worse then any one elses, let alone their "bad element".

I have a Richmond supporting mate, and he had to take his 4 year son home at 3/4 time in round 1 because of the abuse around him, yet he says he's never had any trouble at any other game ever, or at least to that extent.

They are worse, that is clear to most.

And the supporters that the OP are talking about last night are not the "hangers on", they would be the type who travel interstate, and having traveled a bit with the pies faithful, I can say I have never seen any problems interstate with our supporters.

Sorry, but I won't take comparisons between our 2 sets of supporters, yes every club has a few morons, but Carlton take the cake for the highest percentage of their fans being morons.

Way to take your observations and generalize them as truths. Every club has horrible supporters as ODN says most supporters hate their own ferals more then any other clubs because of the name it gives them.

I have seen many a Collingwood supporter pulling completely uncool stunts at the football. Similar to the sort of crap you mention above. What kind of moron you are has nothing to do with the club you follow.

I take great offence to the early stages of your post.
What an appalling thing to say.

what's everyone's favourite? mine has to be the one when lance was captain. it was like a season-long comedy festival.
I liked the one where they tanked to get the priority pick and had Goddard and Wells training at the club before the national draft... then they had their draft picks taken off them for salary cap cheating.

Denis Pagan and also signing Cain Ackland $1mil over 3 years was a good one too.

It's hard not to laugh at Carlton, they're a pathetic "team" filled with front-running hacks. Our last three games against them have all ended in 8+ goal wins and Friday will be no different. If anything, it'll be an even bigger margin. This will definitely be my favourite game of the H&A season. :D:thumbsu:
