I wouldn't say a lot more... Wells finished =2nd last year in the B&F and was 2nd in I50's this year before his injury.

Daniel Wells is a flash in the pan type player. He hasn't impressed me to the extent to which others have branded him a future star of the competition.

Brock McLean could be excused for the year he had IMO - Melbourne were cellar dwellers.

Brocks year last year was better then any year Wells has had. If Wells can become more consistent and actually string together a whole season of his good games he might be something. But his current 1 in 5 games doesnt really cut the mustard.

And that shouldn't just be from a Melbourne fan's perspective either: Tough in the clinches, body on the line, fierce attack on the ball...compared to: Skirts around the outside of the pack, occasional freakish goal, one good tackle in his whole career, goes missing for 3 quarters, not enough bulk. McLean is a leader, Wells is a receiver.

There is only so long that you can live off potential. McLean has torn apart some games and shown more than Wells has and still has plenty of scope for improvement. I'd love to have Wells but I wouldn't trade McLean for him in a flash.

...i originally thought this poll was a joke and the guy who made it was just trying to say Wells is sh!t by comparing him to McLean and he sort of made up that North supporters thought Wells was better.
