I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when the recruiters decided to draft him. Especially since Melbourne got pick 11 in the deal. However, he was simply awesome yesterday. The way he fed the ball out to our mids all day was just amazing. And that spot up kick to Medhurst 20 out from goal? Brilliant!

I'm glad he's starting to repay the faith the recruiters had in him. Thanks Brock!

Yeah, Carlton really gave us a good fight yesterday, I think they're on the verge. Add a couple of mids, a FF, CHB and FB to that side and it could have gone either way. With these next two bountiful drafts to add some cream to their list, we all need to watch out for boys from VI$Y.

And by then they'll have run Judd into the ground.:thumbsu:

Great thread. Personally I think the only way for him to elevate his game any further would be for the rules of the game to be changed so that he is able to score goals for us personally. BOG for Collingwood.

Or he'll go to Western Sydney because he can get more from them legally then he can from Carlton while cheating.:)

Im not gay, not that theres anything wrong with that, but geez the guy is ugly, almost as ugly as his football.

No, one doesn't wish to be shallow, but he is a particularly ill-favoured man; and standing next to the increasingly attractive Luke Ball was certainly a mistake.

My cousin, a Carlton supporter summed it up beautifully yesterday... Kept me beaming all day. "Why did we give pick 11 for McLean and not Ball?"

Lovely....

Good thread.
Something i've noticed - Brocky absolutely loves playing against the bluebaggers. Here is hoping he has another outstandig game for us next time we meet carlton :thumbsu:

probably one of the most intelligent questions i've heard from a carlton supporter..

You've got to want to play for a team.

I'm sure they figured it was better taking a dud who thought Carlton>Melbourne than taking a decent player who wanted to win a flag.

I feel that the Dee's have been set back a good 2 years with this trade. I can't understand how we gave up the 'future captain of the MFC' for only pick 11 in the last hoorah draft.

1st Carlton take our up and comer C Johnson, then you '****-block' our bid for R Warnock and now we have you to thank for our lack of midfield class.

Well played CFC... well played.

Good luck for the rest of the year Pies, I think it will be a black and white september.

It's extremely unfortunate for your football club that their bid to sway Warnock into the pre-season draft failed and they had to settle for Liam Jurrah and reaffirm Mark Jamar as their number 1 ruckman.

Carlton almost have the perfect midfielder if you collaborate Brocks speed, Carazzo's disposal, Murphy's defensive work, Gibbs' courage, Mitch Robinson's intelligence, Simpson's imposing bodywork...not to mention the great man Chris Judd's fine off-field leadership.

We can also rotate Richard Hadley and his ability to "rehydrate" unwilling rookies on pre-season cruises and voila.....

PERFECTION!!!!!!!

I may be going a bit early here but imo Brock should be a shoe in for next years leadership group.

Only knock on him was that he drifted out of the game at times, but when he was in the thick of it he was a real asset for us on Saturday. Going to have to look at addressing this in his next few encounters. Solid though.
