For some reason he just doesn't. A bit like Goodwin when he was one of the favourites and didn't get within a bull's roar of leaders.

I remember thinking that this kid just about has the Magarey in the bag back in 2005. I thought he would poll really well because he was dominating for the Eagles yet he polled really poorly. I guess there is something about him that just doesn't attract the attention of the umpires.

Could it be because he starts on the bench? (And actually if you realise how much time he spends on the pine, it makes his 07 season stats all the more remarkable!). I was very surprised that he didn't earn a single vote.

Having said that, and I just said this in another thread, I am surprised everyone places such importance on the Brownlow when it is voted on by the very people that we whinge and complain about week in and week out as people that give us a raw deal!
