He'll play that for sure anyway. You should try for a reworking of a classic like Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman, Johnny Cash's Jackson, Dylan's It's All Over Now (love Graham Bonnet's cover) or try for a local classic like Thorpey's Most People I Know. He does a great Elvis cover - Heartbreak Hotel comes to mind - which isn't surprising now reading that article.

I don't think for sure is a certainty. Maybe at the final Hanging Rock show, but even then it's a bit iffy.

He's done Pretty Woman before.

Most People I Know would be good.

I knew if he covered any of those already you would have a link. :D

I think they way he spoke about giving everybody a chance to say goodbye to Clarence will see Jungleland feature in all the concerts. Of course if I'm wrong you will never forgive me, so go with your instincts.

I think he is referring to the tribute he gets in Tenth Avenue, and the introductions during My City of Ruins.

He's covered Ring of Fire before by Cash, did Times They Are A Changin' by Dylan back in the 90s. Done a few Elvis songs over the years, not really a fan though.

Looking back at some of the set lists Jungleland doesn't feature as much as I thought it would. Bring your sign!

According to the following list he has played the following songs during his 104 appearances, ie 87 on tour, and 17 other inc TV shows with the band, TV without, benefit shows, SXSW in Austin conference key note address, Obama shows stc.

I want him to play Out in the Street when I'm in the Pit in Brisbane show 1. He has said he based that song on the Easybeats Friday on My Mind. It would be cool if he did a version of that and explained how that inspired him to write Out in the Street.

Great video Cruyff14. But the best part is that it was posted by mrchappelow3's. He has 156 videos on his Channel - about 95% are Bruce. I found his channel in 2007 when he had about 120 rare videos. I sent the link to Ford Fairlane and then a few months later I had to wipe my hard drive, bloody virus, and I hadn't back up my favourites and his channel link and couldn't remember the spelling of his name.

You can check out thos 120 or so videos plus 30 odd more from 3 and 4 years ago @,

Last night I found this VH1 doco of Bruce's career they made in 1998. Hadn't seen it before. Some interesting stuff I hadn't read or seen before. I didn't realise he never had any money until after The River tour and Hungry Heart became his first top 10 hit. Didn't realise he had to effectively release BTR long before the album - a year or so (1974 recorded it) - to friendly DJ's and FM stations to convince the record company to stick with him so that he could put a whole album out later.

40 minute doco over 5 parts.

I can't tag you in posts, not sure why, too many people with 'The' for a nickname and yours just doesn't come up.

Anyway, see above.
Yes, there is another symbol you have to add in when tagging posters with more than one word (no underscore) in their name, unless you can find them in the drop down list. Can't quite remember what that is. Thinking of shortening my username to make it easier.

Great interview. While there, I ended up watching Danny Federici's last full concert and then reading Bruce's eulogies to him and Clarence again. Kind of get lost when I go Springsteen hunting.

Yeah I've got no idea.

Watched it on YouTube I'm guessing? Watching random clips is the best.

....... Kind of get lost when I go Springsteen hunting.

I have been doing that since 2006 when I found one guy had a You Tube Channel with about 100 Bruce videos and some was pretty rare. Ever since then when I go "Bruceing" I can go over on a very big tangent. Ford Fairlane has proof of this, as I used to send him PM's, sometimes with 20 or 30 links in them, until I found this thread.

I can testify to that. The BF engine room changeover blew up my cataloguing system ... I will have to re-sort my old PMs and see what I have.

Pearl Jam do a rockin' cover of Baba. Bruce would do a pretty good job too I'd imagine.
Yeah heard it.

I reckon he might sing Khe Sanh or Working Class Man with Jimmy Barnes at HR.

Happy new year fellow boss heads! We will actually be witnessing the power of the e street band first hand this year! Who would have thought! Only two and half months to go! Bruuuuuuuuuuuce!!!
