Bryce Gibbs is a legend.
This kid is 19!! He looks like he's been playing in the AFL all his life.
He uses the ball so well, his leadership, his enthusiasm , wow, words can't explain how amazing this kid is :)
In his SECOND year of AFL.

Last night for all those people who were booing him last night, there was nothing he could have done to get it to Fev anyway, The hawks player (dont remember his name) had one of Bryce's arms caught and Bryce had let go of the ball and it was falling to his foot, the only thing he could have done was kick it and it was great it was a goal. If he had tried to handball it over to Fev it would have been a throw coz he had already let go of it.

Bryce Gibbs has improved sooo much this year, and i cant wait to see him next year with another pre season under his belt and watching him play his 50th game.. he's up to 43, missing only round 5 this year.
And he's a cutie :)

GO BLUES
GO BRYCE :)

loved watching the young man play this year

dont think i have ever seen a young talent like that

definitely had a break out year has played some outstanding games this year
his game vs port earlier in the year was unbeleivable (not the one where he tagged cornes, the one where cassisi tryed to tag him)
was one of the most dominant midfield performances this year and to think hes only 19
Even last night he had 30 touches, to his opponents 10. Contirbuted 5 goals (2 direclty and 3 through play) vs 2 from his opponents.

Has had a stand out year and there will be a year in review thread coming his way when I can get it done.........thinking October some time.:thumbsu:

Gibbs is an absolute star.

I laugh at all the idiots who were having a go at him for that one Milne incident. He's simply an absolute gun, and the best thing is soon he's going to be able to play at any area on the ground - quite effectively too. He can kick goals, shut out opponents, has fantastic skills and calm under pressure.

Buckley/Hodge mkII.

Reckon we'll take that. :thumbsu:

He is that quality for sure.....if Judd dosnt get back to his very best next year BG will be our B&F winner barring injury.......

For mine was our best player over the 2nd half of the year

Hard to go past 57 goals for an average of over 5 goals per game from Fev, but it is remarkable to think how far Gibbs has come in the space of a season.

Cheers.

IMO he will win more of his own footy and be more accountable than Bucks, but maybe less penetrating with his kick.

Could play a similar role to Hodge, though sadly, with Hodges OP he doesn't spend the time in the middle as we would all love to see.

In two years time:

Hampson + Gibbs >> Leunberger + Jetta/Houli

Nice work Blues recruiters.

57 goals but stll spits the dummy, still gave away too many 50's, still argues instead of playing the whistle.

Gibbs ahead of him in my book

It nearly puts a tear in my eye to think of gibbs-murph-kreuz playing together for a long time.... All going to be A+ players , and totally different to eachother ..

Don't agree at all. Fev is unfairly maligned by some of our supporters and the opposition - while he might not be perfect and has the odd slip up, he has by-and-large eradicated that from his game and IMO, chases and harasses as good as any man his size in the competition. Every thing he does is magnified, and fair enough given his past, but taking his year and particularly the second half in isolation, he has been brilliant.

Sorry.....can't agree.

He has way too many brain fades compared to anyone in the league........even Gehrig at his worst.

Needs to never speak to umpires........EVER.:thumbsu:

Ive been saying this for a while now... but its the right forum to say it again

Bryce Gibbs will be the best player we have at the club in 2 years...

He will be our next Captain in 3 years.

and he will win a Brownlow within 5 years

He will wear his own strap-on in 7 years?

Some people have an illusion that Fev was wearing a strap on...

What they dont realise was that Fev has been reading my comments on BigFooty about Gibbs

All makes sense now. :thumbsu:

(except the bit about Fev reading)

I'm not sure Judd will stop being our Captain in 3 years time? He may become the captain in 5 years or so.
I dont think that Juddy has a massive appetite being captain, although he accepts doing it, if there was someone who he thinks could take over and do a great job he would gladly step down...

that person is Bryce Gibbs and i think in 3 years time it will happen...

LOL@thread title

Nice to see a strong amount of support when he kicked his 2nd goal against us, I could be confused cause I heard them booing, LOL
So you believe that because we were booing a player jokingly that we dislike the way he plays?

Hawthorn supporter.
