I've just been looking up some stats on these two stars of the game. Let's compare their first seasons.

----------------------------BUDDY-----JURRAH

GAMES-----------------------20----------9

GOALS-----------------------21----------20

MOST GOALS-----------------3(ONCE)----4(ON 3 OCCASIONS)

FREES FOR/AGAINST----------15/26-------5/4

GAMES WITHOUT A GOAL------6----------NEVER

AVERAGE DISPOSALS----------10.65------12

BROWNLOW VOTES-----------1(Game 2)-- ? Let ya know tomorrow

Intersting that Jurrah is so far ahead in every stat at the same stage. He also has had a few hitouts. Buddy didn't have one until Rnd 18 in his second year.

Buddy followed up with 31 goals in his second season.

What do you guys expect from Jurrah?

Completely different players.

Buddy is a freak, in his worst year of AFL football he still managed to kick 60 odd goals. He also is about 6cm taller and 20kg heavier than LJ.

wouldnt mind seeing a goal assist stat thrown in there as well, we all know franklin blazes away at the big sticks everytime he gets the football. Jurrah from waht ive seen has been completely the opposite :thumbsu:

We all love Jurrah but let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

Jurrah's aim is to play 20+ games next year and kick 40-50 goals.

Jurrah would be two years older than Buddy was at the same stage though?

I think a good comparison will be Watts 2010 v Buddy's first season. 20 games, 20 goals from Jack next year in his first proper year of AFL would be lovely.

If Watts plays 20 games next year i'd like to see him kick 30 goals he is more than capable.

Depends on his role really. If it's as a high half forward then he probably won't kick too many. I'd rather have him play a year as a gun half forward than an okay centre half forward, half forward, wing, forward pocket and full forward...
