Campbell in the squad is the most interesting selection for mine.

I would mind seeing a Gawn/Campbell combo with Gawn doing 60/30/10 Ruck/Forward/Bench and Campbell doing 40/40/20 or something similar.

I know they tried something similar with Grundy but Gawn is three years older now and I think he needs to be given some genuine relief in the ruck. I also think Gawn will draw a crowd as a forward which could benefit the smaller forwards or give the other forwards more space to lead into.

And who knows, if Gawn could have a good kicking game he could kick 3 or 4 in a game.

Gawn should pretend he is Paul Salmon .

Reckon Campbell just ends up an emergency after a couple of games where Gawn has looked pretty sore at times. Doubt he plays if Gawn does.

I think you are an amazing poster but Gawn kicking multiple goals is dream world. He ain't repeating that prelim again.

Like sometimes I wonder if goody is more stupid than selfish. There is so many decisions he could have made over the past two years that would have given him an out for poor results but he just refuses to change things.

I think it just shows the chaos at the top of the club. Normally the board and CEO etc would set out the objectives but because we don't have people in place properly it feels like Goody's setting the objectives and explaining it to them.

It's all stubbornness IMO. Has been made worse by people like Pert and Roffey who were the same, and Richardson who is really just a symbolic figure, has no actual power or say in anything. Combine that with a current President who won't make any decisions and an acting CEO whose hands are tied, and we're in a bad spot still.

Sadly, feels like Goody will have a big say again this offseason with Smith likely not in until at least August and Guerra (if he even starts) not until September, leaves it pretty late to be making decisions - Especially with the coaching lineup given assistants are meant to be given notice by August.

Ironically, Goody's 'loyalty' is probably going to cost him his coaching career.

I didn't even realize we had posted the team sheet. I don't really care but I'm glad we are at least playing JVR and Jeffo together again. Not because they are amazing but just to see if there is anything, anything at all there to work with moving forward (hopefully post Goody).

So where’s Sparrow and Chandler going to play then? Swap with Viney at half forward? They are basically defenders anyway since they both kick **** all goals up forward.

I have seen chandler lining up on the wing a fair bit recently with Langdon playing as a defensive forward.

If team sheet means little should we not expect May, Lever, Bowey down back or Gawn in ruck or JvR, Pickett and Fritsch up forward? Or only when in reference to the players I am referring to?

I didn't even realize we had posted the team sheet. I don't really care but I'm glad we are at least playing JVR and Jeffo together again. Not because they are amazing but just to see if there is anything, anything at all there to work with moving forward (hopefully post Goody).

Agree, year is shot so let’s see if either can have a breakout game before season is out or if they are both trade bait/delist material.
