I take it you have never watched him play or have confused him for Jiath,

He doesn't stream off half back in fact when he picks up the ball he hugs it to get tackled

I am taking the piss, I think he's a handy enough player - I like him down back as opposed to up forward (though he showed some promise for you guys in flashes) but I think both fan bases will be ambivalent to the outcome of this trade really

What promise has he shown down back?

He is one of the worst 1 on 1 players I have seen and we haven't been blessed with great players down back,

His best position is forward if you play him down back he will be Lewis Young 2.0

I still think 22 for Buku and 33 makes a lot of sense, especially if the Blues get other picks from Sydney for their matching F/S bids. I think that values Buku around pick 37 which is pretty fair.

Carlton:
IN: 2025 1st, 2026 1st, Florent, Hayward, Khamis OUT: Curnow, Pick 22

Dogs:

Dogs get - Pick 15 or 18. Give up Khamis (value around late 30's I'd guess), JUH (not much value) and Pick 32. Essentially getting pick value of about 26 for the 2 players

Carlton get - Khamis and Pick 32. Give up - some sort of mix of future picks

GC - Give up 15 or 18. Get JUH and get a mix of futures from Carlton (could be 2026 or 2027).

I reckon thats good value for the Dogs getting into a good range of the draft.
Good for Carlton - get their player for future picks and also gain another pick to match on Dean (this assumes Pick 10 will be traded along with Sydneys 1st for a higher pick this year)

Gold Coast - Again assumes they get something decent back from Melbourne in the Petracca deal, but if they do, probably have enough points to trade some to future years

Yep, but we need it to match said bids. Without it our ability to trade up ahead of a Dean bid and still have points to match will pretty much be up in smoke.

I know I'm doing this wrong and I'm supposed to say Khamis is worth a 1st rounder, but sorry, he's rubbish. Delist material.

Can sometimes mark it (and sometimes it seems like he forgot to put his contacts in), but is dreadful below his knees and offers no pressure at either end.

He can't play back because he can't actually defend (other than sometimes zone off and intercept) and can't play forward because he offers no defensive pressure and if he doesn't mark it, he can't get it.

Add that he's only about 190cm and not very strong so he gets outmarked too.

I'd take the F3, run around the corner and giggle.
