I'm still waiting for the source that refutes Moore's claims in Stupid White Men (and the documentary "Unprecedented") about Bush stopping thousands of "felons" from voting in Florida.

No doubt Mike Moore's stuff has to be taken with a grain of salt, but I'm yet to see any evidence to the contrary.

Unsurprisingly that claim is a rehash of someone esles work - Greg Palast. It was Jeb not George but something dodgy almost certainly went on.

No less than respected international accounting firm BDO who run independent audits on all US elections found that George Bush should not have won the election. A very close friend was part of the audit.

And there is plenty of evidence to suugest that the Bush campaign conspired to rig the election. Not only has Moore raised it and his book produces compelling evidence. Time magazine also reported on it in its post election coverage. Dateline and Insight here in Australia have also screened reports re this.

I've only seen the 8 minute trailer (it's on NOFX's new album, the war on errorism) from Unprecedented, but there's some pretty interesting footage.

In particular, the protest that closed down one of the hearings is freeze-framed, and nearly all of the participants are shown to be senior staff in the Republican party.

Everyone cheats, thats my point......... cynical viewpoint i know, definitly does not make it right and i dont condone it but IMO thats the reality of the situation.

Obviously the checks and balances haven't caught up with him yet (if he did cheat), i imagine though that i could find some accounting firm or some such firm stating that he didn't cheat though.
