Seems like its going to be a busy trade week for Carlton. Already we seem likely to do up to 3 trades.

- Mclean
- Fisher will be traded
- Hadley may head back to Brisbane
-Still talk surrounding Hall, Tarrant, Spangher, Everitt and Maguire.
If we could grab another one of those players trade week will be very interesting for us.

Personally i think Fisher will go to the Saints, they have two very high quality KPF's in Reidwoldt and Kosi and a third marking tall to draw opposition defences even thinner seems to make sense. Fisher played his best footy when he didn't draw a defender in 07' and the saints have more than enough delivery that could turn him into a 40 goal a year player. They also have a good history at getting the best out of recycled players ie: King, Gardiner, Dempster etc

From what I've been told, we are after Spangher or Everitt (not both) and Troy Selwood.

Tarrant won't be traded unless Freo get a top 10 pick...dreamers.

Spangher is a 50/50 chance of leaving WCE also.

It appears almost certain that Dennis Armfield will be traded to a WA club, for either a deal involving Spangher or Tarrent :D

Much rather we lost him then Browne dog, there is no doubt, despite the age in Tarrant, or the unproven Spangher, either of them would be an upgrade on Armfield.

There's more chance of CP changing teams for next season than Armfield being traded.

I look foward to your apology when your made to look like the donkey you are, when Armfield is traded ...

Unlike you, I only rate players with decent skills and kicking ability...

And if you are trying to get a player over from WA, Armfield is the ideal trade bait, your not giving up much at all, unlike Browne who would be a big loss.

We may look stupid when he is traded but in the end it will be yourself looking foolish when he becomes an established big game player. Thank goodness you are not a talent scout CP. You are hardly ever actually near the mark when you make a call on players.
C Tarrant's attitude at CFC - yes we really need that!
Not popular at Collingwood not popular at Freo. Do you see a pattern? No you just see a bloke putting his body on the line, winning the ball, breaking lines and then sometimes not delivering the ball very well.

Whats going to be the go with draft picks. Im pretty sure you need to take 3 players in the draft?
No without pick 11 and it being reported that the dogs are inclined to take pick 27 for Andrejs Everitt that would leave us with:
43
59
75

Now in this draft pick 43 is not a great pick letalone 59 and 75.

Obviously the club must have some plans, or some principle agreements that will see us land a few picks in the top 45?

Would Fisher get the Saints 48 or 49 (or thereabouts)?
Hadley, could he get us 28 ? Maybe if we threw in a late pick?
Bentick? CLoke? Anyone else?

I prefer Army to Browney because of his pace

I would trade Browne ahead of Armfield. Armfield is a gun defender, Browne is questionable and overrated at this stage.

Seems some people can't see someone is a good player unless they are an attacking player or someone who does spectacular things. Maybe.

But isn't that why we both love Army

ps Good to still see all the love for fellow supporters on our board

Maguire for Fisher. Make it happen.
Would be a fair result for both clubs IMO.
Am I the only one who thinks Fisher won't go to the Saints for much the same reason as he didn't get e regular game with us?

Forward line pressure. The Saints pride themselves on it. Fisher sucks at it.

I just don't see it..........I could be wrong.

Not that sure we are really going to go bunta during trade week,
since yesterdays miracle.

Round 1 next year we have a 12 foot giraffe, and a genuine in and under mid fielder, our fullback on deck, add another pre-season into Austin, Kruezer and Bower, and we put miles into the legs of Garlett and Yarran.

Not to mention O'Keefe, who a lot have wraps on.

Maybe trade for one more, then go for specs.

How the hell can one be overrated, when he's not even rated anyway by most of the fans and public in general (Browne)

I stand by my comments about Armfield being a hack and tradeable, even if he's popular amongst some fans here ...

Lets be honest, he wouldn't come close to getting a game at any of the Grand final teams playing this week ...

It is trade week, and as such, right now players like Armfield are 'regarded' as 'meat' on the 'meat market' ... Why people get so worked up and defensive on a fairly mediocre 'battler' is astonishing ...

And Browne at least can kick correctly and hit a target, Armfield's cost us bigtime in the final against Brisbane with some horrible kicking (one of them cost us a goal in the 2nd quarter)

And to all those attacking me, I personally don't give a shit what you think of me, personally I think it reflects more on your 'juvenile' personality, then my supposed intelligence (or lack thereof)

I am not one of those idiots who wears rose-tinted glasses, and gives players 'unconditional support' or a leg-up when they are not performing to the standards required for AFL level.

Anyone who thinks that Dennis Armfield is an 'untradeable' player at this club has NFI.

A change of scenery might just do him the world of good BB. He'll always get the third tall, we all know he can take a good grab, and if the Saints play him close enough to goal - say in the FP next to Kosi, they could find themselves a 25-30 goal a year forward.

I really think this could be a win-win result for both clubs.

Agree. St Kilda have based their whole gameplan about pressure. Can't see why they'd go after Fisher.
