After season's end if he gets delisted this board will scream blue murder that "he was just one game away from Buddy Frankling it up"
Or the calls for "If we just gave him one more season"
 
In my opinion any player who plays well today will be in the mix for the game against the swannies, I doubt the 4 day break would prevent their selection.
Particularly key position players eg Butch or Clurey, who are static for large parts of snafl games anyway, so unless injured a 4 day recovery time should be fine for them.

I can't remember the bloke's name, but I was at Alberton when a player was taken from the ground well into the 2nd qtr of a Maggie's game on the saturday afternoon and played for the Power about 4 hours later.

It was Mark Harwood, from memory the game was against the wobblers and he kicked a couple of goals.

Which makes me think Ken was more interested in planning for the future at the beginning of the season than pushing for a flag.
He's been clearly blooding our younger players and strengthening our depth.

Than why aren't we planning for our future post Schulz? Or does Ken expect him to play forever? We already he won't rest him when he's injured.
 
For those who watch more SANFL footy than i

Would his form alone warrant a rookie selection

Like if his name was Mike Jike

Would their be calls that he looks like he could turn himself into a solid AFL player given some time? And that we should rookie list him?

No it wouldn't.

But he isn't Mike Jike.

He is a young man who excelled as a juniour, playing both juniour and senioir grade football, and first 2 seasons of AFL games were reasonable for a young KPF.

Would not allow to become a delisted free agent. Would offer a one year contract at minimum payment. There maybe a club out there interested and looking to get Butch for nothing where we could maybe force a deal that could at least get an upgrade on a couple of picks. Or he can accept the one year deal and that would be ok as well.
 
If we're even thinking of delisting him, he'd have no trade value. Any trade would be token and not needed now that we have free agency.
