When did I say that? You responded saying it's not round 1 anymore, so I pointed out he was one of our best in his most recent game.My bad... He's been amazeballs this year.

Half serious question, if Butcher was to kick 10, maybe 12, maybe more tomorrow would he be a reasonable chance to get a game in the next couple of weeks or has his papers been marked forever?

And in round 1 he wasn't even selected, he was a late replacement. Season is just about shot, and forwardline has been average at best since the showdown. We need to discover if our best positioned reserves KPF has a future with us where it counts, at AFL level, in a contract year for him.
Our form forward leading in to round 1 wasn't even selected ahead of a host of players missing fitness. If him getting selected now riles you up, but that didn't, well you must be part of the selection committee.
Can I ask what you achieve by putting a line through him before the end of the season?I've put a line though him... But if that were to happen, I might have to make sure I had some liquid paper.... Just in case.

In all seriousness... Was he that great this preseason ?? Seriously ??
And has his status all of a sudden grown because our season is sinking ??

Do you think we won't have Harvey next year or something? Harvey has time on his side, Butch does not. So why not at least give him a chance until the end of the season?
The short break is why I said next couple of weeks.......He won't be brought in due to the short break, will be promised a call up with a half decent game the next week, but won't be called up cause a midfield plodder will rack up 30 nondescript touches.
Was he statistically better than Schulz, Hoff, and Ryder? If statistics aren't your thing, was he more effective? Have more influence on games?
Yes.
Statistically better than the bloke who dropped 66 the season before.... A guy who didn't play all pre season but was brought in as "the missing piece" and blitzed his only competitive hit out, and another bloke who we would now be able to use in any position on the ground.
If you think he was getting in ahead of any of those blokes, you weren't thinking clearly.
Ryder kicked 4 in the intra match IIRC? IIRC, So did Butcher.
Schulz had a good preseason last year til his ankle vs Bombers. This year was very quiet. Hoff was nearly invisible, but to answer properly, I'm talking forwards, not any position on the ground.

Haha... OK. You didn't say who he should've been in front of ??
If they play Butcher against Sydney, a must win game, then I think I could have a heart attack.. although I still have a glimmer of hope for the fairytale.
Stretching things a touch saying he was in the best players
And you didn't mention who outperformed him as a forward across the whole preseason.
It is ok though, Ryder kicked 4 in a match that was being closely monitored by authorities so it didn't appear to be a genuine hitout/scratch match.
Dude..... He was NEVER going to play ahead of Schulz, Ryder and Westhoff. He just wasn't.
How many match reports did ya sift through to find that one?http://m.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/a...aide-at-richmond/story-fnii0294-1227396528728
Strange, I see his name in the Bests there...
No, but he should have been played ahead of Redden and should have stayed in the side until Lobbe returned.Dude..... He was NEVER going to play ahead of Schulz, Ryder and Westhoff. He just wasn't.
Considering there are two... Two?How many match reports did ya sift through to find that one?
Or he'd get the call up, kick 0.1 and have three touches, none after half time. And still the board would insist he's just a good run away from taking the competition by storm. He'll be in, kick 1.2 vs Swans in a game where we kick maybe 11 total, then dropped for good.
