What are the chances of us taking Johnson and Bentley with picks 80 and 85, or have one or both only nominated for the PSD?

We can't get Johnson in the National Draft as he has nominated for the PSD only.

I believe that Bentley has nominated for both drafts, so we can take him in the National Draft, most likely with pick 80. Alternatively, we can take another kid with pick 80, and hope that Johnson lasts to pick 6 in the PSD, and if he doesn't, use Bentley as back-up.

Is Bentley eligible to be taken as a rookie?

We were once short of players to play in the back half. Now every player we seem to talk about getting is a HBFer.
I can only presume that the Blues hierachy have in mind to turn some of our present HBFer's into HF goal sneaks. Because that's what we are desperately in need of.

I reckon Hislop has already been given an offer from a club hence his decision to stop training with Essendon. It could well be Carlton and he would be a good pickup imo as long as he gets his shit together. Attitude and off field issues are the big problem with this kid but i do agree he is a better proposition than both of the above mentioned players.

There is a very strong chance Essendon will pickup a backman because their MF is beyond woeful? That makes a heap of sense.

You're a huge unlisted pain in the arse.

Come Saturday, Carlton might be chasing Yarran, Lovett, Dempsey, Davey, Jetta, Myers, Stanton, Chris Johnson and Reimers around in red and black on the MCG next year.

EDIT: plus Bachar Houli who could be a damaging player like Dew if he was used as a quarterback when because can kick.

Yarran is the type of player Carlton NEEDS.

I'd rather have Johnson than Hislop.

We don't need any players with a bad attitude and so so skills.

Was easily melbournes best or 2nd best user of the ball and would be in out top 3 or 4.

He slot into HB line for us, as he posesess greater skill than, carazzo, waite, scotland and thornton and he would be the good designated kicker in that we lack in the back 6.

The dons midfield ran over the top of our midfield twice this year. They do have have some good talent in there. Agree on Bentley though. Don't see the point in adding him to our list when he didn't really show alot at afl level. May as well give a young kid a go.

Who knows sounds like another Brett Johnson to me who plays in the VFL.
