Ormond to win comfortably at the Gunn
Monash to get back on the winners list. No Jimmy to keep the time. It will be chaos out at the Frearson.
Jacks to roll on.
Go with rupo at the goose pond.
Werribee. Ouch there's pain a comin'....

Look after the umpies and go well.

good contest the draw at Monash, both sides had a real go and performed with the ball as the object .shame about the others on the ground ,one of whom had a howler.

Got back from a week at Port Douglas, lovely place with real crocodiles. Thought i seen a couple bob up at Rupo yesterday, but i think they like the sun. Maybe they were martians. Crocodiles can kill, we all have no clue what martians do.
Unfortunately our ground was watered during the week which meant a great contest could have went either way, it was played in a bog. Cliff Young in gumboots would have loved it. Well done to Mazenod, this comp you have to take all your chances. The euphoria of winning a close one is quickly shattered by an after siren loss like yesterday.

Werribee too good at solders reserve yesterday against melb hi surely they will be to good come finals time
I believe they have best young talent in the whole of the vafa

How about all the Werribee supporters put their comments through spell check before posting, you make all at the club look like fools. Also getting a bit ahead of yourself aren"t we, I don't think you have seen an "A" grade game.
Also I think it might be Soldiers Reserve not solders.

Best young talent in the vafa???
Do yourself a favour, before you make stupid comments like this go and watch St Bedes and De La play.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones spectator. I'm sure a highly educated "melb hi" graduate has a decent handle on spelling and punctuation. Aren"t you a Werribee supporter yourself?

Best young talent they have lots of young talent but being the best in the comp OMG .
Noticed on Saturday the work rate of a few was down compared to previous weeks some of the younger players looked abit jaded. Could have been the bye but also could have been the season of senior football starting to take its toll. Im sure it will be managed still was amazed at one passage of play by Tate Mcutcheon and im told its only his 3rd year of football and he is only 21. A fearless team orientatad footballer.

Who cares about the spelling, let's talk footy as this is the worst forum I've been on.
Werribee has a number of young players that have come up from the u19's that have cemented their spot in the Seniors this year. Two of those U19 players were out on the weekend, Harrington and Johnson with Johnson coming back from injury playing in the 2's on Saturday and Harrington out injured being the Goal umpire for the 2's with an ankle injury. Werribee has had to rely on youth in the past coming from their Junior sides as other Clubs in the town Steal our Senior players and hence being on the young side.
But this year has been different with Some of our older players coming back from other clubs. The two Morrow brothers coming back from Geelong West, Nathan Black from Werribee VFL and Riosa from Westbourne and the two Pelar boys in second year back from Spotty WRFL. Also Palmer from Hoppers and Dale Carlton.
So I would say that this year we are an older side overall with a lot more experienced players which would explain why Werribee is on top of the ladder and odds on favourites for back to back Flags.
BUT as we know footy's a funny game and anything can happen so we will take it "a week at a time".

Fairly big call there bocce. If you remember Ajax toweled us up pretty easy out there, granted we were missing a couple and didn't look like we were there to play. That could be the reason we lost, or it could be because of the amount of pressure Ajax applied, none the less they were a very disciplined, well drilled side and should be outright favorites atm. We will have to wait until they pop out west before we see who is actually fav. But like you said, "a week at a time".

I'm sure that Kirk learnt a lot from that game and I'm sure he will rectify the situation come finals time. If we have a full fit list I'll back our boys.

Well done on your achievements in C grade but best young talent in the VAFA? Surely you are taking the pi55. Have a look at a couple of Premier division clubs, in particular De La Salle and St Bedes. They are smaller school based teams competing in the highest grade. They don’t have the resources or networks to compete with Xavs, OMs, Scotch, Collegians etc in attracting high profile ‘marquee’ players and have no option but to develop young talent in order to compete at the top level. Your suggestion is insulting to these clubs.

Unquestionably De La is the benchmark in that regard. They have a Premier division senior team full of current U19 players and many others from recent U19 premiership teams. They have won 5 of the last 6 Premier section U19 flags with that sequence broken only by St Bedes who themselves have a good number of eligible 19s as senior team regulars.

The efforts of Werribee are most commendable. In a few years they might become a strong ‘A’ grade club but for now perhaps look few grades above before making such ridiculous comments.

Correct. Werribee heading in right direction, and have great youth, however, without seeing the others in the competition and being in the 3rd tier, its a bit rich to claim.

I have no doubt that Werribee are on the rise still, and that they will move out of C Section into B shortly, and hopefully continue on that pathway.

It has been great watching the club come out of D4 to where they are now. Hopefully they continue on that upwards spiral. The higher they go, the better players that will hang around and the local interest will rise.

Thanks " Tigers 4 me" some banter on this forum at last. It seems it's mainly a Werribee forum though. I've heard nothing from Ajax all year. Surely they must own a computer and have enough brains to log onto this forum or are they too good to waste their time on such frivolous dribble:D

Whilst we're on my favorite topic, how's about a big round of applause for the following Tigers who have made the next Big V training squads!

C-D4: Nathan Black, Matthew Dean, Cam Lee, Adam Morrow, Brent Morrow, Aaron Taylor.

U19's Ryan Harrington, Jessie McLennan, Andrew Panayi, Daniel Schibeci.

Would there be any other side in the VAFA with 10 players in line for Rep jumpers?

I seriously doubt it.

Go Tigers!

Grum

The Ajax posters were smashed by other posters in 2008, i doubt they would be bothered, hardly seen one since.

Yeah and i think they left one out as usual only played a handfull of senior games but im sure cos he looks 35 they forget hes only 18 and he is getting better with the senior xperience Travy dean.

Grum. I’m sure thay all have legitimate claims but the nominations are based only on what the club puts forth. – i.e. if Werribee nominates 10 than 10 will get an invite but it is of course reduced from there until the final sqaud is announced. Would agree that the C-D4 team could and should be full of Werribee reps but doubt you would get more than 1 or 2 in the 19 team, which would be good effort all the same.
