Still Callum really isn't the player that successfullu releases either into the midfield; that player is a 6+ clearance per game inside mid to give them something to feed off.

I agree which is my point about our forward line. I still take him anyway. Adam Kelly seemed to think it was part of the plan.

Look after him and value him please! No getting on him when he has 10-12 touches because accumulating is not his job.

He’s a rare player that locks down on a matchup but can also bob up for 2-3 goals. Incredible versatility, can play half-forward, wing or half-back.

Ripper player and will be missed at Brisbane.

It’s a strange move by him, has he given a reason for the move
Just happens to be out of contract

Moved from GC who drafted him to Brisbane, and has been on bargain basement contracts

Probably his last chance to get a decent contract

Had a good relationship with Davis and is moving to a competitive club

I don't think anyone suggested otherwise. The discussion was more around the forward mix and who he replaces.
F Neale-Bullen Fogarty Rachele
HF Ah Chee Thilthorpe Dowling

I Keays Soligo rotate forward from the bench

Tex to play only no more than 10 games in AFL and around 5 in SANFL or vice versa

Surely we play him on the other wing?

Surely he is a half forward.

It feels like our recruiting team is all about versatility.

In defence we have players like Woz, Max, Keane, Hinge can all play big or small.

In the forward line we have Ranks, Rachele, ANB, Keays, Taylor, Pedlar and now Ah Chee who can all play forward or push up into the middle of the ground.

I feel like Ah Chee wasnt a need, but more of an opportunity we had to take because its so hard (historically) to recruit players. I agree with getting him - if a quality player wants to join us you make it work.

Now we just need to see how Nicks or Murray (depending on which side of the bed you got out of this morning) utlizes him.

Thought he plays wing for Brisbane (on Dempsey in the grand final)
We have less wing options than half forwards.

Our best month was rounds 18-22 when we put away Dogs (better than the margin suggested), wallopped Gold Coast and Port, and beat Hawks in a cracking contest.

Yup, the month where Dan Curtin put his foot down as a future star.

The first few weeks was fun football, but the defensive numbers said that was a mirage (which cracked against Gold Coast/Geelong). Those ones were lights out.
