Can Corrie be another Medders?

Like many have said dont know if he will do a medhurst as medhurst showed at freo that he could definately play, just became a more complete player with us.

Corrie will be handy, i reckon even if by being a depth player, it all depends on how much time in the middle dids, dale and neon play, i reckon corrie will be competing with, mccarthy, wellingham, and even dick for a wing/hff spot that being said i wouldnt mind seeing dick, corrie, neon and dids in the same side around half foward delivering lace out passes to rusling on the lead out of the square i reckon the rus would love it too.

Why does it have to be Rusling, It would be Any Forward

i don't think a medders transition will occur (medders had already had spells of kicking bags, as others have stated we just made him a more complete player), but i have high hopes he will fill a role the club got him for.
my biggest worry is brisbane basically giving him away for nothing when he played in their best 22 most of last year, right? Was he out of contract and going to come our way anyway? otherwise i cant see why a club would get rid of a player more in the side than out of it for such a low price unless he wasn't a great trainer or a good bloke (think justin murphy). apologies if i have missed something where this was answered, haven't been on top of the forums.

Anthony Corrie;
a) cost us only a spot on our senior list
b) had only one season from 2004-2007 (don't have his 2008 stats) where his kicking efficiency dropped below 80%
c) is quickish
d) is 24 years old, which goes part way to filling a gap caused by our atrocious drafting from 2001-2004.

I'd say we almost can't lose.

I'd agree with you, except the number draft pick we picked him up with has me wondering what Brisbane knows that we don't.

voss is a moron?

This could very well be the answer, he also cut begly for nothing and that is well astounding

You juast have to listen to his commentary to know he isn't that smartest man in world.

edited dude.

i think that is more accurate

I was reading somewhere that Collingwood didn't really want Medhurst as part of the Tarrant trade and really wanted Warnock and were after Geelongs Johnson. It was only afrter the Johnson trade fell through that Freo were able to convince the pies to take Medders. They really had to work hard to convince the pies to take medders.

Just proves one man's trash is another man's treasure!

I see all Lions games up here. Gives me the Sh*ts. But one solace is they get beaten plenty.

Anyway, Corrie is excellent at run and carrying and I've seen him on many occasions handball about 15m in front to a free player and then sprint past and pick up a handball receive.

The Lions played him generally as a HFF but a stay at home forward most of the time. When he was released to a wing he showed dash and good footskills.

Queries would be on his ability to play longer periods in the midfield due to his lack of endurance. Also questionable accountability.

But as TRS stated. We are in a no lose situation. He cost us 1 spot on our list which would be filled by pick 93 or similar.
