Chocco would think of Freo once or twice a season, when we get ready to play you. His/our relationship with Freo is amicable and productive, and I assume will remain so with Mark Harvey - via their shared Essendon connection.
Carr was not recruited by Fremantle, he fell into your lap through being ordered back to Perth by his family. He would have gone to West Coast if you had not dealt with us. Though of course playing with his brother and going to the team he supported were big advantages.
As for Pav there wouldn't be so much as a boot studder at either Port or the Crows who believed he would leave Fremantle. Both SA clubs laid the groundwork in case Freo would unbelievably botch the re-signing, that's just professionalism. Chocco couldn't have cared less so long as Pav didn't go to the Crows.

I didnt say our clubs are at least not amicable. We had that mass pre season brawl at South Fremantle oval a few years back. Both clubs kept ther emouth shut as Im sure there would've been suspensions if caught on video.
You cannot claim that with certainty. I can tell you at one point it looked like he was gonna go. Pav's has stated he would like to finish out back in SA.
Chocko made some snipish comments all the time. I have to say I personally disagree, It's not football, because not every coach or player does it. Even Cornes little outburst post Carlton match a few weeks ago was in poor taste. But hey, if thats football to you guys you are welcome to it. You guys are happy with that image then roll with it.

He is a shit stirrer and has made a few negative comments about our club over the years so why not whack them where it hurts when it will hurt them the most.
The match expectation falls on them because everyone will write us off.
I would like to think we can get one back at them, because really they pants us good in the first round.

Port and Freo. SHOULD have a natural rivalry given the similarities between the clubs (working class versus the other club in the state with more supporters and them the chardonnay set). Really I don't see the problem with a bit of niggle when two clubs play. Obviously we have Adelaide and yourself West Coast, but a bit of rivalry with another couple of clubs beyond the local competition makes it more interesting IMO.

Port fans have an obvious hate for the Pies (beyond even everyone's) for the whole Black&White issue and a rivalry with the Lions after duking it out over the first half of this decade. Port fans aren't particularly aggrieved at the Dockers, but if Fremantle (or at least it's fans) feel especially pissed at Port, then as long as it doesn't reach soccer fan like proportions it's only a positive in my eyes. It shows despite the AFL's best attempts their's still passion in the game.

I love it when we play Port, normally good hard games.

I actually admire Port, when they joined the AFL, they did`nt run away from there traditions, they embraced therm. When we joined the AFL, The WAFC set us up with a dud management team, did`nt fully embrace the South Freo/ East Freo traditions.

I reckon that Port and Freo should be a alliance in regards to trading etc, We deal with them and they deal with us. We trade back South Australian kids if they want to go and they trade back WA kids to us if they want to return home.

yeah that doesnt make sense at all. but if it makes you feel any better, we're not wrapped with your mob either. but dont dispair when you play the eagirls and the crows i think most of us freo supporters are going for the team in turqoise or teal or whatever it is

Best Idea I've heard yet

Ultimately it'll be a tough game and we will all know whether Freo can make the finals by the time our game starts and to be honest if we get on top of you and you cant make the finals it will not be surprising if you crumble like we did in Rnd 22 last year. However if you have a sniff at 3 Qtr time I would be surprised if Freo didn't pull out all stops to win regardless of the finals situation
