Would be a missed opportunity by AFL to get a crowd as neither team well supported there. Send it to Victoria!
Think there are a few SA Blues fans kicking around who would love the opportunity to see more than 1 game this year.

If we can't play in QLD then neutral territory makes more sense than giving us an advantage.

THE SKIPPER RESPONDS

Of all the hyperbole in the first two weeks of the season, the denunciation of Patrick Cripps was overly premature and majorly wrong. The new open game was supposed to be Cripps’ kryptonite and he could never be a forward, because he was too slow. Even when it was revealed he was carrying injuries, the doubts lingered. On Sunday, he was at his warrior best. His third quarter, alone, returned two goals, 11 disposals — seven contested — and five clearances. The speculation about Cripps’ future at Carlton, another topic which received more airtime than it deserved, finally looks to be over. Blues boss Cain Liddle said as much in an interview on 3AW pre-match. The captain is staying and, really, he was never leaving anyway.

Announce Crippa's new contract. Announce McKay's new contract. Get to work on Walsh's long-term contract to keep him from the clutches of the Surf Coast Cats.

Fogarty "loving every minute" of life as a Blue
Lachie Fogarty joined Andy Maher and Bob Murphy to discuss his recent form after starring in the win against Fremantle.
Lachie Fogarty was probably wondering why Bob Murphy was wearing his Premiership medallion.

Nine things we learned: Bargain of 2020 Trade Period revealed

Carlton's signings of Zac Williams and Adam Saad might have hogged the headlines during last year's Trade Period, but its acquisition of Lachie Fogarty might just be the window's biggest bargain. Fogarty has enjoyed a quietly impressive start to his Blues career and was outstanding in Sunday's demolition of the Dockers, winning 25 disposals and kicking a steadying goal to complement seven marks, seven tackles, three clearances and eight score involvements. Having arrived at Ikon Park after 23 games with the Cats, Fogarty has demonstrated his smarts and clean skills when handed midfield time and has been among the side's most ferocious pressure players when he's been pushed forward. Carlton gave up pick No.51 and slid back eight spots from No.30 to No.38 in the NAB AFL Draft to secure Fogarty, but it's already proving quite a shrewd investment. - Riley Beveridge

Walsh stated before the draft that his preference was to be a one Club player and that he would be respecting the Club that chose him in the draft.

Look at Justin Leppitsch's comments on SEN re: LOB and to a lesser extent Dow.

“Lochie O’Brien is a good example. I was at Richmond at the time and obviously he’s a very talented player and his highlight tape looked amazing, but I know the messaging out of Richmond was ‘he’s not for Richmond’,” Leppitsch said.

“Richmond has a particular type of player they like and look for. You look at some of them like scrappy-old Jason Castagna or Kamdyn McIntosh.
I've been seduced by O'Briens skill by foot and i think that there are plenty out there that look great in the APS when its all sanitised and pretty but when he comes up against the big dogs he looks meek and unwilling.

Think Josh Schache and you get the idea. Guys that peaked in high school?

Wreck it Ralph: The nine best-value acquisitions in the AFL in 2021

3. Lachie Fogarty (Carlton)

The Fogarty bandwagon was full to overflowing on Sunday night.
Fair enough too after this stat-line against Fremantle: 163 ranking points, 25 touches (nine contested), seven marks, four score assists, eight score involvements, seven tackles, one goal, three clearances, two centre square clearances, 444 metres gained.

It was the third straight game with excellent pressure, smart decision-making and the kind of football that makes your teammates better.
He is now averaging 111 ranking points after Carlton gave away only pick 51 and pushed back their No.30 pick to Geelong’s No.38.
Geelong knew he was good after 15 games in his debut season but let him go after eight games in the past two years.
The question is whether the former No.22 pick, entering his prime after turning 22 last week, can actually hurt them for a decade to come?

You mean the Josh Schache that Leppitsch drafted?
