Carlton Rocked Again

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

It was rumored tonight 2 Carlton players turned up to training in an unfit condition.
Initially thought to be alcohol related, it now appears to be drug related.
The 2 players apparently have been tested by the club and found to have an unknown drug.
A life sentence on these 2 players appears inevitable, as Collins addressed the players at training tonight.
The players named on two different radio stations were Angwin and Karl Norman.
Say goodbye to your careers fellas

A leopard doesn't change it's spots does it?? Just another nasty trick added to the repertoire for Angwin!!

How did our recruiting team ever ever get sucked in to draft an individual with such poor overall character??

Ch10 was saying that there is a board meeting at Carlton about 2 unnamed players that are in trouble and could get the sack.

Gee, I am not surprised that Angwin is involved in this one.
Yes but this time he's taken another player down with him, who was trying to establish a career.
BTW wasn't it Norman, who Angwin supposedly robbed?

I just heard on SEN that the investigation is still under way and the club will make the decision when they get all the information.
It'll be front page here in Melbourne tomorrow.
Despite all the dancing around at the moment, rest assured 3 strikes and he's out.

Yes it was. Now he's helped rob him of his career as well.

Lloyd copped 2 week suspension.

ROFL! are you kidding? Lloydy actually got suspended! hahaha

EEEXXXCCCEEELLLEEENNNTTT!

As for possible drug use by L Angwin.............I just knew he would probably be involved. What a toss bag. Surely this ends his "career"................hang on - maybe this is just the beginning of a life of crime AND drugs.

Its a pitty he hasn't played against us yet. I was looking forward to some of our boys running through him and testing those shoulders.
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TALENT!
Most of us would do almost anything to have a) his skill and talent, b) the opportunity to play AFL.
And he destroys every boys dream, in favour of a "good time".
Should be a documentary made about this lads short career, and shown at every draft camp, to all the draft hopefuls.

I remember watching this bloke play for Glenelg where he went absolutely nuts and kicked 4 goals in a half of footy and dominated in the ruck. There is no question he has the unlimited potential and every physical attribute you would want in a player ans especially in a ruckman. I thought to myself gee whiz this bloke will be one hell of a player. To throw away all that potential and a crack at living every boys dream is unbelievable.

I really can't believe that an individual can screw up so many time and be given so mane "second" chances and still find a way to screw up:rolleyes:

I think your idea of making a documantary about this tool and showing it to all youngsters at the draft camp is a very worthy exercise.

If it stopped just one other kid with talent from going down the same road, it would be worthwhile.

Yeah, going by a few games with Glenelg, I was very excited about picking up Angwin. If this is all true, I reckon he is gone, as he would have used up his last chance. What a dreadfull waste of a talent. I hope the kid can sort out his life.

yeah, now we know what he was looking for!

Angwins done over Norman twice now.
Hope he gets the hint soon, as the degree of seriousness is increasing.
Mrs Norman speak to your son.

I reckon you guys are more twisted than Laurie.
Laurie didnt screw your club over he has a mental problem. He cant help it. He was really doing well this year, on the straight and narrow. The problem is even if Laurie is on what he thinks is the straight and narrow he is on the very windy and wide.
Laurie and Karl are mates, the problem is Laurie had a few issues more than Karl prior to this.Laurie is actually a great guy who just has brain explosions. theyre not pre meditated just not thought out properly.
By far the freakest player i ever saw in my life for natural talent. Why anyone would want to have players run through him is beyond me. He never wished Adelaide anything negative. His father even begged clubs from interstate not to take him.
Ive seen countless Crows supporters especially Glenelg supporters visit Optus while in Melbourne to wish Laurie at training good luck. Most had a story about how he spent time with their young kids on family days and he won them over.
We lost Laurie too, but id never wish him anything bad.
We had a young bloke come to Carlton in the 80s called Rhett Baynes, huge reputation also a ruckman. He ended up doing armed robberies, got nabbed and eventually blew out his own candle. I just hope that doesnt happen to Laurie.
Good bloke with obvious frailties. (not talking shoulders)

I guess Carlton supporters can afford to be more forgiving; they only used a rookie pick on Angwin.

Still our recruiting department is probably to blame as much as anyone. It's not the only time they've thrown a perfectly good first round draft pick down the toilet. From Tom Gilligan to Wayne Carey. *shakes head*

You're presuming the career he was pursuing was football. It looks like footy's a hobby he does outside of his day job.

I think Angwin meant just as much to us without any draft picks than you guys .
Remember Angwin isnt a monster, he is a 21 year old guy with issues.
No its not about him just being caught. I know his employer.
Angwin in that team meeting was going to be told that he will elevated to the senior list and he knew it.
What is it they say about car accident fatalities? Most are made within 3 kilometers of their home?

I think Sydney should pick up Angwin if he's sacked from Carlton.

That way their half forward line could read ; ANGWIN - NICKS - GOODES.
