By taking him out of the centre, in THIS instance, did not harm our CBAs. We made it impossible for them to anticipate what we were going to do. When he was slotting goals, they obviously felt his worth was stronger forward than in the middle BECAUSE we weren’t losing the CBAs. Had we been losing, then maybe they put him back. But we weren’t. And they didn’t. AND we won by 10 goals. End of story.

I doubt the opposition coach, or side, cares what we do when it comes to pinch hitting CBAs. Equally, I doubt we care what they do.

They'll keep an eye on Rankine, and Dawson (+ Thilthorpe in the forward line) seeing they're our two big guns and are pivotal to our midfield structure. The rest is just back their system in to beat our system. Too many moving parts in the end of the day, so you just have to just back your lads in to do a job, especially as this is a sport that tends to punish unpredictability.
