Ok, you said nearly Carlton's most important player so I take it he's one of your top three?

Honestly, would Jack get a game at any of the current top eight clubs . . . not so sure.
He is a one dimensional, slow-paced utility who has his moments but they are few and far between. Injury has held him back but it wasn't as if he was making the competition stand up and take notice. I'd take 10 other Carlton player's before picking mighty Jack.
You haven't been watching have you? Would be in the discussion for AA and easily in the first 3 picked every week.

Player who can play all positions on the ground is one dimensional 🤔

'Can play all positions on the ground *'

* Just not anywhere near AFL standard in most of them.

Reminds me of the defence of Carlton's small forwards....

'There's no problem with Carlton's small forward depth. We have heaps of them, it's just that none of them are any good...'

Good season but come off it he wouldn’t even be spoken about in AA and he’s missed games too

He has had a great season and yes a bit over the top but hey I'm no Robinson Crusoe.

For someone who has a lot of opinions about footy, you don't seem to remember all too well.

I'm not implying Zach is our most important. Sure' he is a very solid player these days but I reckon there would be 6 or 7 players who would be a bit more crucial to the make up of the team.
Who said Silvagni was our most important player on the list? Pretty sure the post said "nearly" and was referring specifically to this season.

Right... So last time he got dropped was when again?

And did I say anything about him being our most important player? Id have Silvagni exactly where you'd have Guthrie. 6-7th best, maybe stretching to tenth or so depending on player form etc.

He wont actually be in contention for AA, but he did make Champion Loldata's mid year AA team as a KPD.

His ball use out of the back half has been elite.

Champion Lol does Motlop get a gig there

Silvagni has been one of your best and most consistent players this season. No offence to him, but that's also an indictment on the A and B graders that should be playing better than Silvagni's best.

I agree. Like I said in an earlier post our top 6 have all pretty much had career worst years all at the same time either because of poor form or them just not being available. I think Silvagni is in that Hewett/Cerra/Haynes group who are experienced players that have actually shown up most weeks.

Voss isn't the main problem at Carlton, it is the board but specifically it is the power brokers and coterie groups that wield their influence over the board to ensure their own personal financial gain is realised. Carton is a club governed by those that do not care about on-field success, much like the ENIC Group at Tottenham Hotspur in the EPL. Until this changes they will never be successful and will continue to reap on-field failure as they have for the past 30 years.

Not expected to win this week or next so it shouldn't intensify anymore really
How does everyone keep up with all these Carlton threads? What a way to spend everyday.
