Not really, but that'd make you a pretty poor supporter HBF :)

Oh and Shit isnt filtered

Not a chance i'd miss the game on Saturday. Looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be good game. Still think we might just come away with the 4 points in a close one.

I'm not convinced by any negative arguments against Carlton for this match.

Fevola: He has hit rare form and since his indiscretion at the start of the year I can't remember him working so hard for the club. He had two tackles to add to his seven goals proving his work rate in defence - an area we needed to address after the Essendon experience. Don't forget Melbourne singled him out and triple teamed him for most of the match, leaving an extra player in defence and sagging back to cut off supply through the half-forward line. Yet he still kicked 7.

Judd: Melbourne's midfield is it's strongest point and we didn't chop it up like we did Essendon or Collingwood. Judd was closed out of many contests yet when we needed a spur, he was there. His effect on the team is immeasurable, and yes, we may have been beaten had he not been there, but he was there and we won. He chose this team so he could help us do that.

Backline: Why do we need to worry about our backline? Most of Adelaide's attack was through bursts through the centre, rather than setting up play in the forward line. We'll be just fine thanks, it's the centre you have to worry about.

McLeod: If Gibbs is fit, I reckon he'd negate any effect No. 23 might have. Anyone who saw his defensive effort against Collingwood will know how good he is at shutting down runs out of the backline.

CHF: Who plays with a recognised CHF anymore anyway? Gone are the days when you bomb it up the corridor out of defence - it's all about run out of the backline and link-up play through the midfield. Fisher holds that position pretty well anyway, although you're right about his form, spilled marks he normally would have swallowed on Sunday.

Melbourne result: The game on Sunday was a fantastic dress rehearsal for what we can expect from the Crows. They'll crowd our forward line and try to shutdown our key forward targets in Fevola, Fisher and Kruezer. Players like Grigg, Russell and Pfieffer will have benefitted from the Melbourne experience and will be better equipped to handle it without panick kicking into a contest.

Losing habit: There's a new attitude all around the Carlton club. Beating Collingwood was the greatest panacea for the malaise that pervaded before that and if we hadn't won last week, I would have said you were right. But there's a hell of a lot more belief than there was two weeks ago, and we're making every post a winner.

Carlton by 10.

you might be right, but

1. We are not Melbourne
2. Losing habits take longer than 2 weeks to break
3. Shutting down Mcleod is a little tricky since he is the most decorated player on the ground and the best Aboriginal footballer of all time

Cmon crows supporters, let Carlton supporters have there moment after ...2 victories in a row, this may never happen again...

Stop underating Adelaide it WILL come and bite you in ***. Just because you dont hear about us in the Victorian media does not mean we are bad.

Crows by 20-30 hopefully, but the best team on the day will win.

You would much rather to be in Carlton's position going forward than Adelaide.

However while the Crows are just beginning their spiral down the AFL ladder over the next few years, they still have enough mature bodies and old heads to trouble a team as young and inexperienced as Carlton.

Carlton have the superior midfield and forward line. Adelaide the edge in defense and experience. But the Blues are on the way up and at the MCG would expect to get the win

Carlton by 24 points.

Thought it would've been clearer in black and white.

Our defence roflwtfxorpwns your defence

Our midfield whilst not as good attackingly will completely shut your midfield down (Judd will feel the wrath of Chopper Doughty)

Our Forward line will not roflwtfxorpwn but probably adequately pwn your forward line because you're playing one of (if not) the best backline in the competition.

Fevola could kick 10 and I'd honestly still be confident of victory.

Discipline, foot skills and big bodies will be Carltons downfall this week.

God has spoken
That would mean you're not bringing in that infamous TAC cup player.

Dangerfield can't kick to save himself.

Bannister's injury means the Crows now have a shot at victory.

You could be the next Carrot top or Pauly Shore

CAPTAIN TANGENT!

Bannister's injury means the Crows may now secure victory by quarter time as opposed to half time.

All this huffing and puffing has me worried so I'm revising my tip.

Crows by 86

Tippett to kick 5.5

Oh and don't worry about Dangerfield, remember our little feud about player management and development? Think that sums things up quite nicely Cypher old boy.

.

surely you are joking?

The bulk of your young talent has been gifted to you as a result of your poor performance.

Rebuilding a team from scratch is incredibly hard

We on the other hand despite having only 1 top 10 draft pick playing for our side (Massie and he doesnt count because he was drafted by..... Carlton) can find and develop talent. And will continue to do so

You could have drafted Rutten, Bock, Porpylzia etc but you were too busy propping up with Digby Morell and Mick Martyn

Dont underestimate the task back to the top. It is massive. Beating 1 average and 1 awful side doesnt quite cut it yet. Drop me a line when (if) you finish the year above us

Collingwood aren't average. They finished in the top four last year and were a kick away from the GF, and given Port's performance, they may have most likely won had they gone through.

Wow! For starters that sentence doesn't make any sense .. "they may have, most likely won"

And what makes you think "they may have, most likely won" against Geelong? No one would have beaten them mate.

Collingwood at present would probably be 7th-9th best team. Average.

Had Collingwood won the Prelim, would have played Port in the Grand Final, not Geelong. And we all know how well Port played don't we? Collingwood would have won the Flag if they had got over Geelong.

Logic seems to elude you, doesn't it?

Collingwood were the only team that matched it with Geelong in the finals last year, and were very close to beating them. On that effort alone, hypothetically speaking... had they beaten Geelong in the PF they most likely would've beaten Port.

And what makes you think "they may have, most likely won" against Geelong? No one would have beaten them mate.

Now this doesn't make sense. I was referring to Collingwood against Port had they managed to reach that far (And they almost did, too - by a kick). Port were flat in the GF, and did not seem too inspired. My point was, had Collingwood gone through to the GF, they most likely would've beaten Port Adelaide considering they were so insipid. In fact, most teams in the finals would've beaten Port on that day, such was their performance.

Collingwood's team is not much different to last year's. We are only five rounds into the season... an "average" side doesn't get into a PF, almost beating the red hot favourites.

but they didnt. And that was last year. They've lost to North, you and Brisbane last 3 weeks. Beat Freo and Richmond. How would you rate them? I'd say fryingpan is about right. Just because they are your arch rivals doesnt make them a great side

And they lost to us by 1000000000000000000000000000 points in Dubai in Feb. No one has ever made the 8 after losing in Dubai

It's got nothing to do with them being our arch rivals - this is pretty much the same team that were within a kick from a GF. No matter what you say, no "average" side can do this. An average side would either be just outside the 8, or go into the 8 and lose their first elimination final.

You were intentionally downplaying our win against a pretty good side, and that's all there is to it.

Norh made the Prelim too, are they a super side?

Hell Port made the Grand final, how are they going in 08?

The Bulldogs were terrible in the second half of 07, and now are undefeated in 08

Make no mistake, Colingwood are just going at the moment. Beat us (and you might) and you'd be more credible

relevance?

youre hung like a horse maybe but you love muscley has been black guys with mohawks and plenty o jewelry
mmm no more need to be said is there blue red and golden shower ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

you really think that i can think of plenty id put above him
hes awesome but the best indigenous player ever id watch that one
pppllllease

but that was last year

If you want to make that distinction, then perhaps some of your very own can cease with the "Carlton are crap, we should thrash a bottom four" side because at the moment we are not in the bottom four, nor playing like a bottom four side. If you want to use that philosophy, it works both way you realise?

Fact is, most people will be rating teams from last year because it is so early in the season. Just like they'll be ignoring our wins and looking at our 14 game losing streak instead of current events.

Norh made the Prelim too, are they a super side?

No, they're a good side.

Hell Port made the Grand final, how are they going in 08?

You must not forget we are only five rounds in. They had a side good enough to make the GF last year, so in all instances they should bounce back.

The Bulldogs were terrible in the second half of 07, and now are undefeated in 08

So were Collingwood in 2000, winning their first 5 games after their spoon year of 1999 - then we saw why they won the spoon in the first place after those 5 games. It is an inaccurate assessment to fully base the quality of opponents on after just only five rounds, especially when you have a similar team that did very well the year before.

M<ake no mistake, Colingwood are just going at the moment. Beat us (and you might) and you'd be more credible

And who have you beaten this year that makes you so much better than Collingwood?

Credibility will come from winning games, regardless of opponent, because we have recently lost 14 of them in a row before finally breaking it against a team no one gave us any hope to beat. A win is a win - especially due to the fact we've been shit for so long. Collingwood are a good, solid side that are known for their hard work and are well drilled. Considering Carlton were going in to break their worst losing streak of all time, to play four quarters against them and beating them all over the ground was great.

And you are intentionally downplaying this win so you can suck any positivity out of it. Sure, we may be still crap in your eyes... and we very well might just be, but I see improvement there and a combined team effort that was non-existent for a long time. I give us every chance to beat your mob, even if it's just to make a statement that we are not the same team as last year.
