Stocker only missed last years draft by just over three weeks so it's abit hard to be comparing him to next years crop. He will have close to 18months on half of themFrom people in the know, how is next year's draft looking? Guessing not as strong as this year. Truth be told, with Stocker's highlights, his highlights look better than Paddy Dow's.
So if Stocker would be rated top 5 in another draft... if next year's draft is weak, this trade is even more genius.
I can see us making big strides next year without the injuries that cruelled us this year plus the great players we have added plus we get Docherty back to control the play from defence, I am very optimistic for next year with the number of pluses we add for next. Can’t see us not finishing bottom 4 next year. Massive gamble

Opinions. Assholes. Stocker being better than hatley...Well aduh num nuts. Hately is the player to pull the trigger on not a 19 year old over age imo
**** no!Boekhorst comparison already being mentioned on the D&T board.
Stocker will play round 1 2019 - he is super good. Watch him play then talk.
So exactly what I said, wait until the end of next season to judge the trade.
Who'd have thunk it.
This is a reserve judgement moment. Haven't said anything negative, already said we have to wait a year to see how this one pans out.
People saying this is an awesome move have no idea if it will be or not. Yet you'll call them positive because of their opinion.
Positivity sounds rather simple minded in that example.
That always happens. Deal with it. We are connected to the entertainment business, tonight I am entertained. Love the brass balls and the outcome. That's fine. When we drafted Boekhorst the same kind of people were pumping up tyres and saying we got a good one, the others said let's wait and see.

I remember when I was on Talking Carlton and Synbad (for those that know him) went ballistic as soon as we drafted Cripps.... let time be the judge.
Geelong reckon Walsh is the next Joel Selwood, I reckon (and it seems Carlton agree) that Stocker is that guy.

Fisher, Kennedy?Blues building a nice midfield!!

I doubt that, but he could have easily gone anywhere from pick 12 onwards given how things came about.
I certainly rate him higher than Jones, Butters, Quaynor, Clark, McHenry, Sturt and Duursma, who will all picked before him. I guess that puts him at 9 to 11 on my board.
