Silly, silly speech

Anyone here the pre-match on MMM today. What a joke - giving JE a free run at the current club, no questions asked.
This highlights the anti-Carlton sentiment in the current media, print and radio.
For JE to be able to (again) slash and burn the current board (who threw him out), support Collo (whom he had bagged majorly while president), brag about how good things were done "in his time" laying as the foundation stone HIS FINANCIAL RECORD!!!!!!
All the while the MMM team lead by Hawks Quartemain and Dunstall, with Jake "Lapdog" Nial sitting in, and none of them questioned JE's version of history.

ABSOLUTE BS - Its crap like this Jake and co that gives rise to speeches such as Stick's on Thursday.
Jake, as the only true "journo" in the box could have shown some integrity and questionned what was clearly BS. Why would he though when it nicley served his, and the rest of the medias fun at sinking the boot in.
F#$K the lot of em!!

NO

If you are referring to the article that came out in last Tuesday morning's paper - I'm pretty sure that her stupid digs at Sticks were exactly why he got stuck into her so much at the Presentation night later that week. Therefore his speech was a right of reply.

Notice how she essentially blames him for the downfall of Carlton - intimates that he is corrupt and disloyal. I think she got off light.

Everyone is saying he overreacted - and Andrew Maher speculated that she might have recourse to a suit in defamation - That *****head obviously didn't read the article. I am pretty sure this would fall within what is known as an occasion of qualified privilege because he is responding to a public attack on his character (Some of you may remember Jeff pompous Kennett involved in litigation many years back where this defence was tested) - I reckon Sticks' response was appropriate, but this defence may be vitiated because of malice. She'd be even more of a ***** if she tried to sue him.
