Geelong's excellent 2004 on-field campaign has been matched off the ground, with the club announcing a profit of $1.22 million for the year.
It is the fifth straight year the Cats have finished in the black and the result is $225,000 above the forecasted figure.
According to a release issued by the club, total operating revenue for the year was $23.5 million, which is an increase of $1.6 million on last year.
"The excellent result is primarily a reflection of the Club's strong on-field performance and the continued successful implementation of the Club's business plan strategies," said chief executive Brian Cook.
"The competitive, exciting brand of football attracted large crowds to home games and progression through the finals series resulted in substantial prizemoney."
The Cats will repay the final $700,000 of its long-term bank debt in March next year and has just borrowed $3.6 million to fund its final contribution to the redevelopment of Skilled Stadium.
The new Eastern Stand will open at the ground on 1 May next year, when the Cats play their first game of the season against the Western Bulldogs.
