I guess it also signifies hope. Cassian's legacy, maybe even name, will live on now in that child, I'm sure Disney will eventually have something for that character in the distant future

I had him tagged as maybe a Separatist or someone who had a Jedi family member killed. But no.

The Empire was in fact - brought down by its own. From Lonni to Luthen.
