This is true, but there is 1 team is further from a premiership than we are, and that's the spineless bunch of hacks who lost on Thursday night. Look at some of the names they're still rolling out...They are incredibly ordinary. Further away from a flag than just about everyone.

The positive is for the first time in 20 years they seem to know where they are, a bit like Richmond when Benny Gale took over.I’m struggling to find too many positives. Merrett is just a cheap accumulator who doesn’t hurt you. Caldwell is ok. He was there most effective mid but plays in bursts. Obviously they have a young group. They will take time. Pretty pleased with the O’Sullivan/Caddy decision…
Probably the main aim are bigger things, but they do seem focused. Bombers though very inexperienced. Still, putting them to the sword is what we had to do, a nice big finish in the last for the % booster. What a flat theme song lol
Peak Gaz Jr in the '08-10 era?Wonder when the last time we had back-to-back 40 possession games was.

Dodoro gone, Sheedy pushed out the back door, and they're playing youth.
Most probably won't make it, but it's the step you have to take before you get anywhere.
Honestly, the concerns for Essendon would be the spectre of Hird, and going after Harley as the messiah who they'll for sure turn into Jake Stringer 2.0.
If they keep their picks, and stick with Scott laying the groundwork, they'll be on the right track though for mine. Let Draper go and take the compo.
Caddy, Kako, Roberts, Durham, Bryan, Clarke, Caldwell, Duursma, and Reid with three first round picks to come is a decent base to work with.
He's no star, but he has a crack.Don’t put Duursma in that group.
Dude we won by 95 points in an away game.I’m struggling to find too many positives. Merrett is just a cheap accumulator who doesn’t hurt you. Caldwell is ok. Think they mean positives for the bombersDude we won by 95 points in an away game.
Is Howie a geelong supporter? I know he lives in Geelong but…I have to say it's one of the few games I've watched on TV (Kayo) where the commentators actually praised Geelong and talked about what the Cats players did (other than talking about our opposition most of the time). I guess with Huddo and Howie (Geelong supporters), we had to get one sooner or later.
Anyone noticed Gryan Miers has an unusual kicking style?Apparently dempsey runs up the field a lot. Is this news to anyone?
