WE did enoujgh to win but having the 18th team within 6 points with 5 mins left in the 3rd 1/4 is not great

Ultimately we did enough to get the 4 points and it seems mostly unscathed.

Holmes and Smith had over 1600 meters gained.

Smith, Jezza, Miers, all good overall but the 3rd quarter nap wasnt special.

The last 1/4 we got it going and I reckon CS had a spray or 2... it was well deserved bc they had earned it.

The kind of 4 points you have to have but would have been nicer to do it it more dominating fashion.


Harley Reid looks good in hoops and rekcon he was looking longingly there at one point.

That was incredibly frustrating. We really panicked and missed so many chances when we should have put them away.

The main takeaway is we need to move heaven and earth to get Reid into the club.

Good patches and ordinary patches. At this time of the year just bank the wins. Gc and Brisbane games will tell us more about where we are at. If we win those we are a Monty for top 4 given the draw we have after the bye. Drop them both and we are back in the pack.

Most of tonight was ho hum but was good to see stengle wake up after a few quiet weeks and osullivan is going to be one heck of a player. He might just be more critical than Dempsey (as good as Dempsey is) given the value of intercept marks in the modern game.
