Cauldron for all home games?

After hearing the air raid siren yesterday i was quite impressed. Would people like to hear it before every home game when the team runs out. I think it sends a message that we're here to play.

Agreed. The siren was laughed at by most people around me at the ground.

I actually don't mind the air siren. While we're not quite a force yet, I reckon in a year or two when we (hopefully) are, it will be a little haunting for the opposition and its supporters to hear the siren echo just before our guys run on. I love that the club has been innovative and tried to create as much home-ground advantage as possible.

The other thing I did notice was our 'Social Club' room (Victory Room). At least now there is some of black and red in there. Years gone past the hand full of balloons just didn't cut it. There is now a feel of it being an Essendon room for a drink.

Who care what others think of the siren. fact is, if it gets the bombers fans excited and the team hears it then it may give them a little extra when the start they game. I personally love it.

Do you need to be a member to enter or is it free for all?

I liked the point of the home ground advantage factor. Look at anywhere outside Vic and its always a daunting task playing away. I think its time to give it back to these interstate aliens and let em know we hate em!

I love the air raid siren. They got the timing much better this week and it really added to the atmopshere.

A bit of Metellica blaring out instead of the crap they plan in the 15mins before the teams come out would be sweet.

It is only for Docklands home games.

And I'm sorry but it would be highly offensive. Remember that people got offended when Mick said that his players 'let the ANZACS down'.

Love the lead up over the bridge but they have forgotten that there is another entrance to this ground. Don't like the siren. I liked it better in 2000 (1st year at Docklands), when they played a video of a bomber and fired out the players' names as they ran on. I think the AFL squashed it. Same time they had someone rejig our song to be bit more modern, which I liked (but still like the traditional one as well).
