No issue if either decide to stay on as one is best 22 and the other is great depth if called upon.

That said, I'd love to see one/both go elsewhere as I think they could make better careers for themselves given a proper shot either at AFL level (CEY) or spending more time in the midfield (Lyons although kind of applies to CEY as well in the couple of games he was played in).

I personally feel that CEY has a higher ceiling than Lyons does, has a little more x-factor IMO. Just hasn't had the opportunity.

Agree.. I still believe in CEY but won't be surprised if he never gets there.. I don't think Lyons has a ceiling any higher than DMac

It's against my better judgment - but I'm a sucker for CEY.

There was a play in 2015, maybe v Melb I think. Wins the centre clearance, sprints away and kicks a 65m goal on the run.

Prob silly but I still believe there is something special there. I like JL, solid player - not that X factor though

Lyons has been solid, no question, but I'm of the opinion that CEY is far more versatile, dynamic, and has much more X-Factor.
Many people are saying that Lyons has been the better player - no offence meant to either of the two, but Lyons has been seen a lot more on the big stage than CEY has, and this makes a huge difference, both to the player's improvement, and to supporters' opinions of them.
I am glad CEY is still on the list, and I can only hope he gets a regular shot in the senior side. He can be thrown about into just about any position, and the only thing holding him up are our dead wood Veterans that absolutely must be dropped.
CEY a regular in 2017? Bring it on.
