1. St Kilda - Patrick McCartin - Pecking order: Petracca still a chance, this is the first year since say 2001 or something where the #1 pick isn't 100% obvious the night before the draft.
2. Melbourne - Angus Brayshaw - Pecking order: For both of their picks, Melbourne will take the 2 of Petracca, McCartin and Brayshaw that the Saints don't take. Lever a very outside chance.
3. Melbourne - Christian Petracca
4. GWS - Jarrod Pickett - Pecking order: About 99% certain that Pickett will go here. De Goey a very outside chance.
5. Collingwood - Jordan De Goey - Pecking order: De Goey looks likely here. Laverde still a chance but it seems like Collingwood are cooling.
6. GWS - Paul Ahern - Pecking order: 95% sure they'll take two of Ahern, Goddard and Marchbank for their next two picks. Ahern and Goddard have the edge for now, but with new information out this may have changed since last night.
7. GWS - Hugh Goddard
8. Gold Coast - Peter Wright - Pecking order: 50/50-ish between Wright and Duggan. Lean towards Wright. Ahern sliding could complicate things though.
9. Collingwood - Darcy Moore (F/S)
10. Geelong - Sam Durdin - Pecking order: If Wright or De Goey are here I'd probably expect them to take whichever one is available. Otherwise, it'll come down to Durdin, Lever, Goddard, Laverde or Cockatoo. Hard to call but all signs seem to point to Durdin.
11. West Coast - Liam Duggan - Pecking order: Duggan or Laverde, probably. If both are available it will be interesting. Otherwise, Weller, Cockatoo and (if he slides) Ahern are chances.
12. Richmond - Corey Ellis - Pecking order: Most likely Ellis unless Duggan is available. In which case it'll be tough.
13. Fremantle - Jake Lever - Pecking order: Will likely go tall. Lever and Durdin are the two likely options here.
14. Adelaide - Jayden Laverde - Pecking order: One of the KPD's, or Langford or Laverde.
15. Gold Coast - Nakia Cockatoo - Pecking order: **** knows....probably a toss-up between Cockatoo and Langford. Outside chances of Weller, Laverde and Marchbank too.
16. North Melbourne - Lachie Weller - Pecking order: He's probably the favourite if Cockatoo goes beforehand, with Garlett and McKenzie also chances. Someone could slide as well...think Goddard or Durdin.
17. Essendon - Jarrod Garlett - Pecking order: If Wright or Laverde somehow slide to this pick they'll pounce. Otherwise Garlett is the favourite here, with Lamb an outside shot.
18. Sydney - Isaac Heeney (Academy)
19. Carlton - Caleb Marchbank - Pecking order: Unlikely they'll pass up Marchbank if he's still here. Otherwise they'll target outside run - if Weller and Garlett are still there they'll go for one of them, otherwise....Menadue perhaps? Lamb's off-field shit will probably count against him, from what Carlton people have said.
20. Essendon - Tom Lamb - Pecking order: Lamb probably the favourite. Menadue also a shot, and there may be a slider.
21. St Kilda - Daniel McKenzie - Pecking order: Will probably take whoever slides. Alternatively, I think McKenzie and Neal-Bullen are at the top of their wish list, with Blakely an outside chance. Might take Reece McKenzie if Petracca goes #1.

23. GWS - Kyle Langford - if he goes before this....Lamb? Hamilton to bolt?
24. GWS - Jack Steele (Academy)
25. North Melbourne - Oscar McDonald - they'll take a KPD, and he's the best of the second tier ones. If Goddard or Durdin slide to their first pick, then they'll probably just go best available.
26. Western Bulldogs - Ed Vickers-Willis - need key backs and outside speed. They like EVW, and Menadue should fulfill the latter.
27. Western Bulldogs - Connor Menadue
28. Carlton - Blaine Boekhorst - need outside speed badly.
29. Gold Coast - Connor Blakely - heavy links.
30. Collingwood - Damien Cavka - Hine loves guys who stand up in the big games at junior level, and Cavka counts as that.
31. Hawthorn - Touk Miller - fits what they're looking for and they really like him.
32. West Coast - Dean Gore - again need some more smalls, probably the best on the board bar maybe Bampton.

1. Watched a few of the champs games, watched some highlights of TAC/champs/etc., have read an awful lot of the big name experts on here and in the media. So nowhere near as big as some, but probably not that much less than a lot of those doing drafts.
2. A fair bit. For the first round I went best available with an eye towards fitting needs. For the second and third I had a much bigger lean towards needs.
3. Basically most of the list is who I think will be taken rather than who should. After about 60 or so this changed slightly as most picks are upgrades etc. so I just name dropped those who are still on the board in a similar sort of order to how good I think they are.
