Go AEK! :thumbsu:

Cant wait for tommorow morning will be watching Liverpool on ESPN and at the same time ill be listening to the greek radio for Hearts vs AEK.

Just got done watching the extended highlights off of AVTO.

Cesc is a god. His game has improved so much in the last six months. We're seeing a stronger, more 'English' style box-to-box player, he's added dynamism to his game, so we won't just see someone who will just pass, pass, pass, but more of a complete player, who'll score goals, make goals, defend and attack. He will always need a strong enforcer playing next to him because he's a fairly little lad but what a player he will be - can you believe that that was his 100th Arsenal appearance and he's only 19-years-old and three months? Incredible.

Anyway first goal was class. Hleb works the ball into the box into RVP, and doing his best DB impersonation Denninho flicks it to Cesc, and the little man smacked it in on an acute angle. Great goal. Second goal was great, another brilliant ball by Loaf released RVP and the keeper c**ked up letting us go 2-0 up. Third goal was all Cesc, dribbled into the box and sent a great rolling shot along the turf and into the net.

Fairly easy to be honest, we should win the second leg with a similar scoreline. Hopefully Titi is right to return for that one. Rosicky settled in very nicely, always on the move and fitting in with our style, one he gets fully settled he'll be massive. A year ago we would have lost this game - not only have we learned to get over Vieira's figure in the middle but we can score without Henry, now when you consider that Dinamo Zagreb are probably every bit as good as a 6th placed team in England it's very promising stuff.

I watched the Arse-nal game and in the second half they were pretty awesome considering the players that were missing and the hostile enviornment they were playing in. Those Bad Blue Boys are the loudest supporters i have ever heard lol They were crazy.

Thought Van Persie and Fabregas were great and obviously they won't have a problem progressing to the next round.

Dinamo Zagreb played ok i thought but perhaps did not show enough ambition to win the game when it was 0-0

And people say Fabregas is overrated? :)
Dude, I like him but a top performance against Dinamo Zagreb doesn't exactly define his season.

We'll see how he goes against the big boys in the Champions League and Premier League next season, and see if he achieves a level of consistency performed by Gerrard and Lampard.

I don't see how people who say he's overrated are going to be swayed by a performance against Dinamo Zagreb in a Champions League qualifier.

ohh Benno....

Haha, it was tongue-in-cheek. I think he is set for a big year anyway.

If Jermaine Pennant keeps up this type of performance and keeps the bottle down, then it'd be 6 mil well spent

His crossing and passing was just simply superb, pity we didn't have the strikers to capitalise on many of his wonderful deliveries.

Him and Momo were the best, along with Luis who played a great one off the bench

Will never question Rafa again after being stunned that he took off Gerrard

Okay performance, defence a bit of a worry, especially the way they literally walked through for the 1st goal with ease

Absolutetly delighted with AEK performance against Hearts. :D

Average performance by Liverpool but still happy with the win. I hope Gonzales starts against Chelsea on the weekend. :thumbsu:

Liverpool are very lucky the second leg is on neutral territory.

As we've seen on the past with those tricky Champions League qualifier away legs, it's very easy to lose 1-0.

Liverpool should go through but they are in terrible form at the minute, and have some key issues that need to be addressed. The main one is Sami Hyypia, how long is too long?

But the positive for Liverpool and their fans is that hopefully the bad form and football is out of the way and they can get off to a good start when the Premiership starts in about 8 days time. :thumbsu:

Yeah, pretty shaky at the back. Riise struggled and Hyypia is lacking another yard on last year. Aggar might get a bit of a run during the year.

Also thought Zenden was rubbish on the left - stick with Garcia thanks Rafa.

Positives were definitely Pennant, Bellamy showing a bit and scoring, and the last 20 minutes we played much better. Garcia and Crouch made a big difference.

Not a bad way for Gonzalez to make his Anfield debut though! That was a class finish.

Oh yeah, and the new uniforms suck.

What's the latest with this Alves guy GH?

I doubt Riise and Warnock on the left side of defence is adequate enough if you're serious about challenging Chelsea.
