I would be hesitant to move Bergmann since he seems to be finding his position.

Same goes for Jonas. He's settled nicely the past few weeks. Seems to have found the ideal position.

I missed the first quarter and Lycett was already off the ground once i started watching but statistically it suggests Lycett started the game pretty well? 6 possessions, 4 tackles, 3 clearances, 7 hitouts, and did he even last a full quarter of footy?

Nearly equaled Sam Hayes output for the entire game.
Lycett was BOG at the end of first quarter; albeit, I can not see him playing for any team next week (after landing flat on his back).

We need anothe ruckman to match the Bombers pair; Charlie on one leg, must be protected and not play in the ruck.
Ideal time to unleash Dante's inferno, or they may stick with Lord (as 2nd ruck, with a chop out from Jeremy).

I normally don’t mind Bonner but I don’t think he really made the most of his opportunity on Friday night. It definitely wasn’t his best game, ditto Burgoyne.

Duursma out saves at least one of them for next weekend though.

Disagree, Bonner can not defend, he is good at running to receive but where is his opponent?
Boak will cover X's wing, Sinn is a chance and one day, they may give Evans a chance.

OUT: Teakle , Duursma, Lord
IN : Lycett, Bonner, Marshall, Dumont

Mac & Cheese Sub
I like Dumont, he is carrying the Magpies and is the forgotten soldier, where people forget his is only 27 years old.
He may get a chance on the wing or for team balance, but Boakie played his best game for quite some time on wing.

What other options are there? Teakle is also a very bad option in ruck but we seemingly have nothing better. The depth in the league is appalling and a 19th team will just make it worse again.
Other options for Bonner are; Boak plays on the wing and we replace Bonner and X with either Evans, Sinn or Dumont.
Marshall comes back in and Burgoyne goes out if the el Capatain is required.

Dumont has been serviceable pretty much every game he has played. He's not going to be the weakest link if they choose to give him a run.

Boak attended 12 Centre Bounces after not attending any in the 3 weeks previous. Getting more time in the middle i think probably contributed to his good form Friday as much as anything.

Does Tom Scully get a look-in? Same sort of SANFL performance that saw Lord called up. If best on ground in the reserves doesn't get you a game it's like being back in the Choco days. Mind you Goldsack did temper his praise with comments on inconsistent effort from Scully in previous games.
No. He needs time to physically develop.

Dumont can play when Boak needs a rest.

So who does the ruckwork? Finlayson is too valuable up forward as he has booted 10.3 in his last four games and Dixon looked to be playing on one leg last week. I am with those who think it's time to give Sam Hayes another run, he cannot be much worse then Brynn Teakle.
If it was actually my decision. Hayes would be #1 ruck.
If I was told by the list manager to not pick him for whatever reason and I wanted to win, I would pick Lycett or Finlayson as ruck.
If I was picking for the post-Hinkley era, I would pick Visentini
In no circumstance would I pick Teakle. It will be an extremely weird selection if we stick with Teakle after how insanely bad he has been.

They need to give him continuity of games at the lower level to keep honing his craft. There's a lot of future potential there. A lot more than Lord, but he isn't ready for AFL yet.

Out Burgoyne, Duursma, Lord
In Jonas, Bonner, Marshall

Maybe think about pushing Bergman up the ground and playing Burgoyne but Bergman is way too good back and Burgoyne was poor.
Burgoyne needs to be encouraged to run with the footy again, he looked timid.
