absolute crap ,only plays spin on his home ground scg !!!Henriques gotta be the man, he can actually play spin well.
Would be some sort of backflip if they picked a Cowan or Bailey.
That's exactly how than allrounder should work. Useful allrounders are good enough to hold their own with one discipline with the other a bonus, great allrounders are good enough to hold their own with 2 disciplines. This half good at batting, half good at bowling doesn't work especially with a keeper averaging under/around 30.Henriques is still probably the best option bowling aside

Completely agree and why the hell are we only considering an allrounder? Those 5 overs Marsh contributed across 2 tests really must have been game changing!
Meh, Henriques played well in Chennai on the last tour. He sucked in Sri Lanka but that was poor selection, if you pick a bloke coming back from injury he's going to be underdone.absolute crap ,only plays spin on his home ground scg !!!
He is one of the top shield scorers this season and is averaging 65.absolute crap ,only plays spin on his home ground scg !!!
already had 3 call ups and failed , toooooooooo old ,like Bailey
he failed in Sri lanka ang India , against spin
Stonis, or Cartwright must e replacement ( like for like)
as usual the NSW press are firing on all "8 cylinders" pushing henriques wirth photos and articles already surfacing
remember Paterson, maddinson, okeefe and Moises , all promoted above there ability, and are suffering for it
They are even more in love with the general idea of the allrounder than they are in love with mitch marsh, they just feel that number 6 spot is a free roll where you can try whatever experiments you feel like and the fact that our soft middle order has cost us series after series never seemed to bother them as much as the thought of only having 4 bowlers.
Why, did you try to use it to get on the disability pension?Didn't know they considered a pea heart as an injury.

NOT a pretty picture (n lucky av 22)
his 1 dayer and t2o worse
And taking a potshot behind you're keyboard we know who the real pea heart is you got him well covered.
I'm not against picking him if they go that way and hope he goes well, I just find it amusing how his fans go on about it as being of of cricket's all time greatest injustices that he's been overlooked. The selectors have very good reason to be quite wary of how he would perform batting over there.Yeha he was horirble, I don't think 2 test matches from 6 months ago in a different country should make him automatically unpickable though. You blokes carry on like he's never played spin bowling in his life and that S.Marsh is the second coming of christ.
Dunno if I'd say that. His 250-odd helps his average, but 2 tons and 2 50s from 11 outings is a respectable level of consistency.Henriques average this season is bloated by one huge score
Never never wish injury on an athlete but it's like the cricketing gods have looked at Australia and said "right, if their selectors don't have the balls to drop him we better take care of it".
I'd go into the last 2 tests with a batsman at 6. Henriques average this season is bloated by one huge score, Cartwright is not a good player of spin (bats at 3 for W.A) and Stoinis' form is just horrible.
Or the selectors dont want to drop him so he is sent home with an 'injury'. Which also allows them to pick another seam bowling all rounder and keep the same makeup
