Wishful thinking but a CC needs to make a statement.

Why are we not dropping any of the midfield?

Poor of Medders replacement can look forward to a game of either no supply, or at least wildly innacurate supply.

Des Headland was happy to win the easy ball but not nearly as interested in anything that involved a fierce contest or hard running.

Des Headland is a seagull. A reciever. Goes after easy pickings, not prepared to hunt for his own meal. Softest player in our line up. No heart, no soul.

Des is unaccountable and a reciever, i would be happy to see him deep in the forward line but with the likelyhood of St kildas midfield getting on top of us des wont get fed the ball which he needs.
Medders just needs a kick up the ar$e ,the supply to him hasnt been great but his defensive pressure over the last few weeks has been poor, needs to narrow the gap between his best and worst.

What have we got to lose by making wholesale changes this week? You never know, the spur of having the opportunity to play finals might inspire some of the younger guys.

If we go in with the same old structure and players, we'll get flogged.

Yeah but if we go in with too many young blokes Chris's rotation system will be rooted, 3 or 4 blokes playing just 30 mins and if we jag a win and make the finals, theyll all get dropped and the highly paid brigade will get a reprieve.

Duffield Schmuffield.
Perhaps Brisbane should drop Lappin and Ackermanis. Classy and rack up possies but rely on Black and Hart getting the hard ball.

Exactly right. Thats where it was lost. We need more run in the middle.

Out Tlo (need more than 2 HB), Hayden , Schammer , (Inj) Simmonds (continually doesn't perform in big games) , Webster (not ready this year)

In. Murphy , One Melee Dodd , Young Peake , Dion , Macpharlap.

P.S. I thought Headland tried his guts out.

I will be furious if medhurst isnt dropped.
How that liability can be kept in the side week in week out while Murphy consistently kicks bags of goals is beyond me.

Sandilands too I think needs to be dropped.
The rest deserve another go.

Dessie does what he was recruited to do, carry the ball. He never was an inside-the-pack-getting-the-hard-ball player, I don't know why everyone expects him to be one.

We knew what we were getting when we got him over here. He does the same stuff here as he did in Brisbane, but our midfield pales in comparison.
I can't fathom why people people are calling for him to be dropped. He's generally been in our best five for the last 5 or 6 games.

I'd say there are plenty ahead of him to get a kick in the bum.

I would drop ...

Medhurst, Hayden, Paul Medhurst, Schammer, Monkey Boy Medhurst and ummmmm # 34.

In I would bring Dunn, Woods, Dunn, Dodd, Dunn and South Freo's full forward.

Is Peake fit?.

Maybe my eyes are clouded but Medhurst has not been the biggest problem, yes he can play better defensively, but lately (mid season was different) he has at least had a go.

I'm worried Smith may be chopped, even though I reckon he has been pretty good. (last in first out?).

Midfield!!!!, be more aggressive and if we are unable to win the clearances, then play the midfielders defensively man on man.

Smith should be fine for next week. I dont think there will be huge changes, two forced on us. We still have a slim (00.2%) chance of finals so lets not go too mad. As for Medders, he was good against the cats with 3 goals.

It would be nice to see Dodd get another chance considering the game we gave him was in a blizzard.
