Changes for next week.

Was happy with the win, but it looks like a few players are coming back from injuries etc etc. Do we keep the same team in?

Now i am aware I will be hounded for this beacuse everyone here is Nathan Ablett Trigger happy, but if McCarthy plays well in the VFL this week, we need to reward consistancy ion the VFL and swap McCarthy for NA.

He again did not do much in the seniors, and as this year is past us we need to see who is going to stay, and who is going to go. WE all know NA will stay, so why not see what McCarthy can do?

Mackie didnt do that much until the last quarter IMO last night either.

Does anyone know anything more about Bartel being charged?

Rooke will probably return.King and Ricco would probably be doubtful,plus Ricco probably wouldn't play in WA if fit.From listening to Harley being interviewed last night he'd be doubtful.

Although i agree with rewarding consistancy with form in the VFL, i though NA was ok last nite. Will admit he didnt get alot of the ball, and not being able to kick a goal isnt great, but i thought he led well and brought the ball to the front, which i rem resulted in at least two goals to us. All i want to see him to is this, present all day and hard and bring the ball to the front. He was also playing to Dustin Fletcher most of the night and tried to take him out of the play IMO. To sum up i wuldnt drop NA

I agree, i thought he definitely did more then last week, he seemed to have an impact on the game yet i was hoping all night for him (or Bomber to tell him) to head outside the 50m ark, with Fletcher inside the 50m he had little to no chance.
I think he should have played more outside the 50m and also it seemed Fletcher got away from N.Ablett a bit, he got quite a few possessions and run out of the backline, i still think he should be kept though.

My initial thoughts on Mackie was he hardly did anything, but watching the replay i thought he did alright, didn't hold too many contested mark and seemed well held, but i would rather Rooke in the side then him, although Kelly is on the brink..

Rooke will come in for Bartel if he gets done...or either Mackie or Kelly if he doesn't. Although I thought Mackie did alright this week.

Keep Mackie in...if we want consistecy from him then we need to keep him in for an extended period, rather than chop him every second or third week.

King will return, as should Rooke. King was close to playing last night but I'm mindful of rushing him back before the break.

Also, would it be wise to include Tenace if he's fit? Another pacy player would be beneficial on the wide expanses of Subiaco. And I recall he had quite a good game over there against the Dockers in 2004. I don't know who you'd omit to include him though. Hopefully Wojcinski isn't dropped this week, as seems to be the pattern so far this year...one game in, then dropped.

Yep, he got his rising star nomination in that game. That wouldn't be a bad inclusion, depends how he goes against Williamstown tomorrow.

I reckon we should persist with Callan though...

Dropping Callan and replacing him with Rooke would be a bit silly.Rooke will play midfield and Callan as a small defender.

Interesting.On K-Rock he wasn't sure.It seemed as though he was saying he'd defineatly be available after the split round,but wasn't sure if he'd play this week.

It's gonna be a tough selection night, because there are players like Callan who probably don't deserve to be dropped, but might have to make way for Harley, Rooke and whoever else is fit. I'd probably drop Spencer for Harley, even though he's only just had his first game it seems a natural swap, provided Tom is 100%.

I'll be interested to see how Tenace goes - maybe drop Mackie or Byrnes for him, though we might want to keep both of the pacier players in the team.

I'd keep King on the sidelines for another game. Ottens and Blake have held up pretty well in the rucking duties and there is no need to rush King back in that case.

Season is on the line the next two weeks so King and Harley have to play if fit. Even if King comes in I still think Blake should stay in, so that he and King share the rucking duties while Ottens spends most of the game at FF. Interstate game, so have Ottens in the square alot and bomb it long to him with either Chapman/GAblett/Stokes at his feet.

Kingsley did nothing in the VFL today. He shouldn't get put back in the snr team yet. There are plenty of players who played better than him today, such as Lonergan.
