What does everyone think the changes if any for this week's game.

Personally I would leave it unchanged & make Dick & Maxwell come through twos when right to play

No change I reckon, winning form is good form, don't mess with it. In the event a player pulls up sore or needs a rest maybe this might be the week to give Rounds his debut game? I've heard he's been doing well in the VFL lately. But no need for changes if they're not forced.

Out: Lockyer (wont happen though)

In: Rounds (wouldn't mind seeing him debut, almost perfect match for him to make is debut IMO but again probably wont happen)

so probably no changes this week

Once again, there will be 2-3 changes this week, I think MM even talked about freshening some players up before the finals.

Could this be Jolly's rest week maybe?

In: Fraser, Maxwell
Out: Jolly (rest), Toovey/O'Brien (rest)

We could also consider giving Brad Dick his one chance to prove he can get through a game without his shoulder popping out, and Lockyer could have a "rest" also.

Out: Jolly(Rest), Sidebottom(Rest), O'Brien(Rest).
In: Fraser, Rounds/Medhurst, Maxwell

And then Next week rest Swan/Tooves/Beams etc. and go marching toward Geelong with a full strength firing side.

This is the wrong attitude. We cannot afford any complacency, even against Richmond and especially not against Carlton. We need to do what we can to secure first spot. It's ours to lose.

For all those idiots suggesting "rest" for Lockyer, have the balls and admit you've got no clue about football by calling for him to be omitted, instead.

He had his "rest" from round 5 through to Round 10. He worked hard, and came back into the team. Has been exceptionally solid since and hasn't played poorly enough to warrant being dropped... unlike Medhurst, Davis etc.

He was poor against St Kilda IMO. He fumbled the ball on quite a few occasions which resulted in turnovers.
I would still give him another week probably but the moment Dick is fit (or Medders' form in the VFL warrants an inclusion) he's out.
Davis was clearly better than Lockyer on Saturday.

I agree with the last sentiment, and I thought Lockyer was our worst yesterday to be honest, but in no way was he a disgrace. In fact, I thought he was probably the best 22nd player I've ever seen, such was our performance.

I agree re: Dick, and I've got a bit of respext for you for addressing my post by explaining your position, which I don't wholeheartedly disagree with, but those that blindly defend Medhurst/Davis and bag Lockyer on this board give me the shits.

Whoever of Lockyer/Dick/Medhurst/Dick isn't performing come Round 22 shouldn't be in the finals team, regardless of potential IMO. I'm confident, come finals, Lockyer will provide more than a Medhurst.

I think Maxwell will come straight in, good game to get back up to AFL pace. There is no way he'll return through the twos, nor should he.

I'd be looking at going something like;

In: Rounds, Maxwell
Out: Sidebottom, Presti

It won't be a popular opinion to sit Presti out, but I think it's a good time to freshen him up, we might not get another opportunity (maybe the game against Carlton who lack KPFs).
I realise Richmond have the highest goal kicker currently playing, but I think he is a good match up for Goldsack anyway who is a bit more athletic than Presti.
Send Reid to Mitch Morton who should get selected this week.

If Presti doesn't get rested, which he probably won't although I think he will before the season is out, then Goldsack goes straight out for Maxwell.

Rounds has earnt himself a crack at the top and I think he'll debut this week, probably at the expense of the underperforming Sidebottom. An opportunity for Sidey to go back and rack up 30 touches in the middle in the twos wouldn't hurt.
Unlikely, but he could come in for a Didak or a Thomas if we were inclined to keep up this hard rotation policy.

Blair has probably earnt himself another trot around while Dick sees if he can get through the VFL unscathed.

Davis took some strides forward on Saturday to suggest he can perform in the big games. He was nowhere near our best player but the endeavor and body language was there IMO.
Leon's poor performances in finals are well documented but honestly Tarks does not have a great record in those games either. I think he escapes scrutiny in this regard somewhat.
I am not sold on Medhurst FWIW. He has been poor for the best part of two seasons now. I just think in essence what he offers as a forward target would compliment our set up very well. If he does not get it together though he does not return, simple as that.
I love Brad Dick though, unashamedly so. His enthusiasm and attack on the football is infectious. I just hope he can get some continuity in his body because when fit he is definitely best 22 IMO.

Well they did that With Dawes and it Worked Wonders

You damn near blew a gasket when he was dropped though

Glad you finally worked out, the coaching staff knew what they were doing and it worked though

I agree with Lockyer, but when he goes missing he doesn't go missing per-se. You'll still get 15ish disposals, a few tackles and a goal assist or two.

When Davis goes missing, he struggles big time.

I was very impressed that Davis finally did have a strong game on a big stage, because beside the Adel final of '08 I can't remember him ever having one.

Lockyer - 02 QF PA - Ordinary
02 PF ADEL - Ordinary
02 GF BL - Good to very good considering very limited game time. Bobbed up when we needed a spark with an important goal, and mark goal assist.

06 EF WB - In our best three or four.

07 EF Syd - Poor in comparison to his season
07 SF WCE - solid to good.
07 PF Geel - In our best three or four.

08 EF Adel - Solid
08 SF StK - One of our better players

09 QF StK - Solid
09 SF Adel - Poor. Found the ball but made bad skill errors. Still, probably our second best small forward. Better than Davis/Medhurst on the night. Dick was better though.
09 PF Geel - Solid, barring the Byrnes run, which exaggerated his lack of leg speed. Laid a very important tackle and conversion to keep us in the game.
