Like the inclusion of Bower. Finally Saddingtons career is over. Ryan Houlihan is playing for his life as did Ackland and Saddington did but have failed. Sorry to see Wiggo out cause he is leading up well just needs to kick a few more goals, may have won him self a 1 year deal next year. Ratts should be playing Mark Austin for the last two matches though.:)
Where's Eddie:(

No he isn't. An insult to Houlihan to compare him to the latter two.

The other two play in positions where we are struggling. Do you think that Houlihan will be in the mix next year in a midfield that has Judd,Stevens,Murphy,Gibbs,Simpson,Scotland,Carrazzo and Grigg. Not to mention the new guyts in armfeild and browne. Also with Hadley coming back next year i'm just saying he better play well in the next to games or he will be looking for a new home.

He wouldn't play in the midfield, i'm not sure he's ever played midfield consistantly. He would be put in the forward line to hopefully provide another goal scoring option or have a hand in goals.

Yes, he'll well and truly be in the mix because he most probably won't be playing in the midfield.

To suggest that the next 2 games will determine whether or not he will stay on the list is just plain silly, and to compare him to Saddington and Ackland is terrible.

Oh yeah, and great changes. Bye Saddo, the game has passed you. Wiggo, well done on a nice season and we look forward to seeing you next year. Welcome back Bower and Houla, good luck - can't wait to see how you both go.

The bolded part makes no sense to me. Wouldn't we be struggling in the ruck because of Ackland's lack of talent, not the other way round?

Houlihan I'm expecting has been brought in to play predominantly up forward. These days, a dozen guys are rotated through the midfield, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him get 5-10 minute spells in there to give the other guys a breather. However, forward of the centre, with his footskills and footy nous, he can do a lot of damage.

speaking of betts... his injury was worse than 1st thought...

Yeah...... wow...... a hammy that takes 3-4 weeks........blow me down with a feather duster. :D

No. He isn't.
Just came back from hip surgery and was very good for the Ants last week. Wasted at VFL level.

There's two I'd have behind him as midfielders. He is no less adept at defending than Scotland, and is a much better user of the footy than carrots.
Hoops kicking doesn't go off the boil as much as these two.........barring on enotable game vs Tiges at the "G" (the one where Brown tore us up)

I think this week he will probably take Wiggo's role as a lead up HFF, which I think he will do o.k.

Will play forward next year and is competing for Russ' spot........not Judd, Stevens and co.:thumbsu:

Why put a guy in the forward line who couldn't cut it in the midfield intstead of playing who actually goes hard at the footy each week like wiggo or going out there and getting someone like Mckinley. Houlihan has had his chance and is not right for this team anymore.

Yeah - it's true. We've got an abundance of small-to-medium forwards capable of kicking a few goals per game. There's no way Houla would get a game in front of them.

I mean, we've got.........um...........that guy...........err..........I forgot his name....in front of Houla.

 :D

Great to see Bower back in the side which will hopefully help us with his run to get out of our 50. No Eddie back? I think we will really struggle to hold the ball in our forward 50 with no similiar player other than walks to apply pressure. Houlihan will be a big addition as well, he is a good mark for his size and has great disposal which is just what we do need, if only he could be more like Walker with his attack on the footy. Before the North game i was reasonably confident but after the way we were manhandled im not quite so. But i will be there to cheer the boys at my first ever night game...i cant wait. GO BLUES!

When available who do you replace those 3 with????
Difficult to answer.... But i suppose that comes with a developing and better list.

Perhaps Hadley for Armfield
O'hAilpin for Fisher (Carlos CHB then Waite to CHF)
Betts for Browne

questionable yes but like i said a good sig that quality will have to miss games

lets not forget that bannister was in great form prior to injury as well
