There is no way Hutchings can take Cripps. He is 195cms and KP sized... So if we are going to tag him put Yeo on him.

In: Hutchings , Karpany, Cole
Out: Shuey (Inj) , Venable (inj) Shep (Inj)

- Hutchings can be that inside mid role that Shuey did so well.
I was about to point out that he's been tagged pretty successfully the past 3 weeks, by Ben Jacobs and Nick Holman....

And then i saw that they are 185cm and 189cm respectively. Hutchings is 181cm, him matched up on Cripps would be pretty ridiculous.

I like the Yeo idea. Carry on.

Venables still on crutches, is this good or bad? Like if it were only a one to two weeker would he be off them already?
yes that makes sense especially since simmo reads these looking for ideas we all know that.
Well look on the bright side.
If you barracked for St Kilda who have won only one premiership in 144 years
or
Collingwood who have won only 2 Premierships in the last 58 years (26 loosing grand Finals)
or
Fremantle, none in 23 years

You would have approx 6,690 players to whinge about in their non successful years.

Lucky you support WCE. Hey?

Out:Sheppard Shuey Vena (bugger the injuries)
In: Cole Hutch Karp/ Parto (coin toss)

I support the team not the individual no one person is bigger than the team why i don't blindly support individuals like you

If the injuries are as called and we have to lose players

Out: Shuey, Venables, Sheppard
In: Cole, Hutchings, Ainsworth

Yeo will have to then play as our primary inside playmaker covering for shuey and i would put Hutch in the square and tagging Cripps. The only other option is we bring in Schofield in place of Shep imo.

Genuinely believe Karpany should be nowhere near the side. Don't think he is even remotely good enough to make it, the moment there is any pressure even at WAFL level he falls to pieces. Only produces semi decent games in wins.

Hasnt Hutch tagged Bont before who is 194cm?

YEs, In THAT Elim final..

Bont got 21 touches 4 marks, 4 tackles, with 1 goal 2 - most stats in Q4 however.

Hutchings got 25 himself with 5 tackles.

We'll see him on the plane at the very least this week.

Maybe you don't understand the concept of Team. Teams are made up of individuals and Individuals make up the team.
Each individual has a role in that team and is judged on his meeting his KPI's and benchmarks as measured by the coaching panel.
We are not privy to those measurements and therefore cannot 100% determine an individuals performance.
It doesn't eliminate us from having our own opinions but there is no need to keep stuffing these opinions down everybodys throats time and time again.
" I don't think Masten has what it takes to be an AFL Footballer" Is fine
Say it 20 times in all sorts of posts and it becomes an obsession.

WRT Hutchings tagging Cripps. I think despite the significant size difference he can still do the job well. Cripps wins much more of the ball at ground level than he does as a tall marking option. He is also not particularly fast. It is for this reason that I reckon Hutch can do the job if required. He can run with him and he just needs to tackle, harrass and apply pressure to prevent easy disposals. With Gov, Barrass, Hurn and at times Yeo in the backline, pressuring Carlton on their kicks into the forward line is what its all about. Even if we lose the clearance, if they are forced to slam it on the boot we will win the ball back 60-70% of the time.
Yeo would be a good match for Cripps but if Shuey is out then I'd hate to see him get a tagging job as it would more than likely reduce his output- which we will really need in Shueys absence.

Id hope to see Cole over Schofield. More like for like replacement and simply a better player IMO.

Worst case with the outs:

Out: Shuey, Sheppard, Venables
In: Hutchings, Cole, Partington

I don't particularly rate Ainsworth while Partington has played that HFF role before and not been too bad.

I don't particularly rate Ainsworth either however to me he seems very much the type that if he is given a role will do everything he can to succeed at that role. No matter what happens Parto always seems to play the same way. On full season + preseason form so far I also think he is more deserving of a gig atm.

We are stuffed. We have lost 2 x speedy player >months venables and Ryan......

Watch us be static who can break lines in our forward line now??? Rioli can’t yet.

Eagles 2016 come on down

Something interesting in the AFL preview for this match.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR …

West Coast spearhead Josh Kennedy booted five goals in his first game for the season last Saturday night and needs one goal to draw level with Peter Sumich as the leading goalkicker in Eagles' history. He has a big chance to break the record against his former club on Saturday night.

PREDICTION: Carlton by one point (LOL)

Of the three potential outs, Shuey is by far the most important. He is the linchpin of an already undermanned midfield. I would begin to have serious doubts as to whether we could beat a basket case Carlton at the MCG without him. This would be highly embarrassing vis a vis Robert Walls apart from denting what is shaping up as a promising season. Sheppard is playing well and is important but I think we could cover for him.
Venable's injury is highly disappointing but he is not as crucial to the team's success as Shuey.

Is the highlighted predicting the blues match score?

The pace lost through Ryan/Venables going down has to be replaced. Just bringing in Hutchings/next in line doesn’t cut it for me. We need to continue our forward momentum and push with the youth and positive game plan we’ve devised.

Petch, come on down.

Dry your eyes mate, we'll be right.

By the time its in the forward line you dont need to break any lines.
DV showed good promise but he has hardly been instrumental in our improvement this season. He is a disappointing loss but not really a big loss.
Ryan is a beauty and he certainly added another dimension but JK is back and I think we saw on Saturday night that we still have a load of fire power up forward. Another pressure player that can rove a few packs will come in and keep the balance.
Neither of those 2 blokes really delivered the ball into the forward line much, they crumbed and applied pressure. admittedly Ryan's work up the ground as an option out of defence was good but not irreplaceable by any stretch.
Petrucceli would be good to see. Hasn't done much in the WAFL but if he uses his pace and can read a few balls of JK and Darlings contests, he is likely to be quite handy up forward.

I've only politely responded in kind you seem obsessed that i dont share your opinion, your the main culprit and often fail to comprehend what I've said going off on unrelated tangents. There is no i in team..... Bored now...
