One Word,

Priddis:thumbsd:
Wow now ive heard it all
After losing to the reigning premiers by 20 Points (were in with a good shot at a win), the following players have been mentioned to drop

Priddis
Embley
Nicoski
A.Selwood
Schofield
Waters
Butler

Are you all completely stupid ?

In: Kerr
Out: Ebert

Butler Glass Hurn
McGinnity Mackenzie Waters
Embley Priddis Gaff
Nicoski Lynch Shuey
Cox Kennedy LeCras

Naitanui S. Selwood Kerr

A. Selwood*Masten Darling
S: Schofield

E: Ebert Smith Hams

Carlton (assuming they win) are a bit smaller allowing Schofield to sub. When he comes on he can use his pace/endurance/height to play wing and some HBF.

This allows us to drop Ebert for McGinnity (from the named team last week) and retain team balance.

Schofield back into the 21 against the Cats after a dominant sub performance.

Slightly left-field but it could work. Highly doubt we'll do it though.

Haha quality. So we would be dropping our clearance king, a previous Norm Smith medalist, a small forward that has had a great year and kicked 30 odd? Goals this year, one of our most experienced defenders, one of our most improved defenders that hasn't put a foot wrong, our courageous and inspirational vice captain and our solid as a rock/one of the best users of the ball in our team.

Hopefully Tom Swift comes on and gets bigger next year as we need more vision and class at stoppages/clearances.

Out: Ebert Gaff

Butler Glass Schofield
Waters Mackenzie Hurn
Rosa Priddis Embley
Shuey Kennedy Darling
Lecras Lynch Nicoski

Ruck: Cox Kerr S.Selwood

Int: Natanui Masten A.Selwood Sub: Mcginnity

Emg: Gaff Ebert Smith

Thought he was alright yesterday, and I'm not normally a huge fan

Larri, he played the role of our primary offensive inside mid... again...

We got killed in the clearances. We got run away from by their mids and the blokes playing the same roles for the opposition killed us, completely slaughtered us.

Our own coach mentioned our lack of midfield class.

He was a plodder in a role usually reserved for thoroughbreds. We need a big upgrade at his position to match the best sides. We have done for 3 years.

But, yes, he works hard, gives is all and is a top bloke ...

I don't disagree with any of that, but he was far from our worst yesterday. We need Shuey, Masten etc to come through and take that role, they aren't ready yet

Just an opinion mate, no need to get upset about it.

Even though Gaff was good yesterday, I think Rosa, with a bigger body and more experience may be a better option in a final.

I think in yesterdays game if we had a couple more experienced players around the stoppages in Kerr and Rosa it might have offset the dominance of Swan and Pendelbury a little and we may have got over the line.

Any word on Smith's injury? We desperately need him to play on Gartlett/Betts. Waters will get turned inside out. McGinnity needs to play the full game now.

There is no way in hell we should mess with our core group of players which we have used all year. As quiet as Nicoski and Embley were yesterday, they couldn't possibly be in danger of being dropped.

It will all come down to how Kerr travels at training, and how Cox and Glass come up from suspected injuries.

I remember a starting midfield of Adam Selwood, Priddis and Embley.

I'm surprised we even got so close tbh.

McGinnity will start with Gaff being the sub. Wouldnt mind Smith playing but that would require us to drop one of our tall backs.

Glass - Thornton
EMac - The Irishman/ Waite
Schofield - Walker
Butler - Betts
Mcginnity - Garlett

That's probably the match ups I would go with but I think Woosh will go different. Last time we played Carlton was it Glass or Schofield that took Betts?

So looks like it's Carlton.

Was thinking we only needed two tall defenders but Schofield is such a good match up on Walker, EMac on whoeve plays FF (O'Halphin or Thornton) and Glass can rotate or play on resting ruckman.

Can't see Carlton risking Kruezer.

So it is;
In - Kerr, Rosa
Out - Ebert, ?????

No idea who else to drop and even then Woosha seems to hate dropping Ebert!!

Man it's good to have a full squad to choose from!!!
