IN - Daniel Kerr, Ash Smith

OUT - Adam Selwood, Brad Ebert

Paddy Mac to take Selwood's spot in the starting 22, doing a similar job but doing it much, much better. Provides heaps of run and aggression, a must to start.

I'd have Smith as the sub.

Our pop-gun midfield was exposed today. It lacks class.

Shuey had an average game, not so much the getting caught but the run and carry was limited. He will bounce back. Masten was decent enough but not enough time as a pure midfielder for mine. Scooter had to focus almost solely on lock down and didnt have anywhere near as much impact going the other way as he has been last few weeks. Gaff was ok. Embley didn't have a banner game.

But without Kerr and given his other obvious deficiences, Priddis had to star today as an inside, ball winning machine. He didn't. Again. His lack of pace was exposed. His decision making and disposal was average. Again. His complete inability to create anything was annoying.

Our best inside mid today was NN.

We lack class in midfield. I'm not sure we can solve that this season. We need more development from Shuey, Masten and Gaff... and Scooter... we need to find some class.

For mine, Kerr and Rosa add some inside skill and some run, carry, spread and creativity (not both do all) that was sorely lacking today...

So Kerr & Rosa in ...

IN: Kerr and Rosa

Out: Ebert and not sure who else

Does anyone know how rosa played in the reserves??

EF reserves played today , Rosa was not right - rested .

Tough selection week this week , with the Cox injury .

Lynch and Naitanui will most likely ruck , leaving Darling and Kennedy as the main forwards .

I think Priddis has started to be phased out. He is spending less and less time in the centre which is not a good sign. Its not because he cant win the ball its because other teams just run off him so hard and he can't keep up. He won't be dropped yet though.

Ebert is a worry. He is a failed midfielder so they moved him to the flanks. He is having no impact there either atm so the last place to move him is out of the team. But if they think he is a part of our future plans then we should keep him in the team to gain finals experience.

Do not want to start another Priddis bashing thread because I'm his biggest detractor. He was woeful today, not the only one mind you. We need more class in the middle, a better spread of midfielders. Here's hoping that very soon, the influx of more draftee's or trading at years end for experienced midfielders will push him out of the team very soon. Priddis plays his role well when we are playing the game on our terms, when we the opposition are on a roll on, he is a massive liability. I hope we package him up with something and flog him off at years end. that is what is needed for our midfield to progress.

IN: Kerr, Hams???

OUT: Ebert, Nicoski???

Ebert got showed up AGAIN today. Was a passenger. McGinnity who played a quarter was more effective that Ebert was

Nicoski's been struggling apart from his 6 a few weeks back. If Hams can play well in the WAFL tomorrow he must be in the mix

Any reason as to why people want Smith as an IN? just curious as our back six was far and away our best line today.

I wouldn't pick Rosa just yet. If he plays a fullgame of WAFL/Match Sim and is right pick him for the prelim. Assuming Cox is okay.

In: Kerr
Out: Ebert

Ebert had minimal effect on the result. Less so than most other players. McGinnity to the 21. Masten to sub.

I totally.. 100 percent forgot that Ebert was even playing against Collingwood.

No joke, i remember him repeatedly going up for hangers in packs and always misjudging it completely. And also when he gave a free kick or two away for an early bump in a marking contest, but apart from that.. where on earth was he?

Someone like that should be out.

IN - Kerr (If you are well enough to get out of bed daniel)
Out - Ebert

Masten or someone to sub. Mcginnity never does a thing wrong and should play fully.

i made the call after our st kilda game and again last week,
mcginnity needs to play.
he's our 2011 rowan jones.

ebert was so soft today,
he struggles with intensity at the best of times, but today he was an absolute passanger.

a few other young guys were also caught out in their first final.
makes sense to why our backline was so strong, our most experienced line.

IN: Kerr
OUT: Ebert

I assumes it's because while our back 6 defended extremely well we had very little rebound from defence and Smith has the tools (long kick, quick) to provide it. I wouldn't make that change though.

Assuming Kerr comes in I agree Ebert is probably the one that should go out. Not keen on dropping Masten or McGinnity.
