Out: Ottens (injured), Varcoe (not enough output)

In: Lonergan (front and back), Byrnes (we have to run the lines. he must come in)

12 touches, 5 tackles, 1 goal and 2 goal assists. How much more output do you want from a forward pocket?

West will need to come in.
I thought Varcoe did a bit with this tackling and that little tap to chappy for a goal and thats more than Byrnes would do!
I hope Hogan can keep his spot also and that will depend on stokes condition.

And keep Mooney, Taylor (!!) and Hawkins rucking? Are you mad?

Exactly.

He made a few errors by foot, but he's leading the team for goal assists and kicking one a week himself, so he's earning his spot.

I was disappointed with Ryan Gamble today.
He was often out of position in marking contests, which resulted in him giving away free kicks after trying to take Capper-esque speckies from behind, and when the ball hit the deck, he seemed to go to ground an awful lot.

It was probably just one of those days for him, and he is far better suited when Stokes is in the team.

The obvious change is West in for Ottens.
Stokes if fit has to return, possibly to replace Max Rooke if his injury keeps him out (i was on the other side of the ground, but it looked like they were working on his hamstring).

The only thing you got right was out Ottens.

Varcoe was good. Byrnes was terrible in the VFL today and no chance to get recalled.

Lonergan would be some chance, but we will need to replace Ottens with West first. I don't know who else Lonergan could replace.

If Stokes is fit, he will replace Hogan.

Thank god you aren't a selector. You aren't going to bring in a 2nd ruck

IN : West and Stokes
OUT : Ottens [inj] and Selwood [inj]

* Selwood did not look right today. He's still seeing stars [as he does everyday in the changerooms ;) ]from last week.

Westy looks certain to come into the side but from what I have seen of the twos, Mumford is ahead of Westy in form at this stage.

I thought Varcoe looked good when we were on top, but didn't do enough when things were going against us. He's coming along though, and every now and then you see him do something that makes you think he can play.

Gamble was awful. I thought he was pretty selfish, actually. He seemed to be out of position all day, he was dragging his player into contests that they had no right to be in, and he was trying for mark of the year every five minutes.

I'd expect Stokes to come back in.

In: West, Sokes
Out: Hogan, Ottens

They were definitely working on both of Max's hammies, but if it was cramp it was a tad earlier in the game that I'd expect.

Gotta say Mooney is really not the answer in the ruck anymore, hopefully we don't lose another one that's for sure.

According to The 5th Quarter, Taylor's got a sore back, and both he and Rooke will probably have fitness tests during the week.

God, I hope we don't go out on Thursday without Egan, Hunt, Harley, Taylor and Rooke in our backline.

did he also have a chance to kick a goal but tried to run in a bit closer and got caught? was either the 2nd/4th quarter.

Damn ****ing straight. Varcoe was one of our best in the first half.

The amount of Varcoe bashing on here is ridiculous.

Last quarter, I think. Wasted a whole lot of good work up field. I think the stats showed he had 9 disposals at 44% effective. Compared to Milburn who had c27 at 93% effective.

According to Ch10 Rooke and Taylor have injury concerns.
Rooke - hamstring tightness
Taylor - Sore back.

With Rooke's history, they may give him a week off anyway (if it really is 'tightness').

Pfft **** channel 10.

I will only believe what comes out of the club, and even then with a grain of salt.

Vegas pissed me off today. As you say,he kept trying for mark of the year.Twice in the 1st qtr he did it instead of leading.Play like that again this week and you can go back to kicking the dew [not the fat Hawk ****] off the ground.

The tribe has spoken.

Hand the torch back

In:

Djerrkura, Mumford or West, Stokes

Out:

Varcoe - doesn’t get the pill enough.

Gamble -until he stops showboating by specy chasing. And we need more zip in the forward half.

Ottens - inj

Hogan deserves another chance. Moons needs to get himself motivated.

Mumford is a rookie!!!!!!!!!!!!
