Unofficial Preview Changes for week one of Finals (Out: Madgen, Murphy, Ox : In: Treloar, Howe, Goldsack)

Darcy Moore has failed to finish a game on 3 separate occasions this season. I hope he stays and fulfills his potential here but for now there is no way we should trust his hamstrings

EDIT: can probably add the late withdrawal against North to that list

Problem we have no one to play down back so you pretty much have to play Moore

Howe will come in for Murphy i reckon.

Then we just need to squeeze Treloar in.

Who makes way is a tough call. I reckon the one who misses is Aish. I think he plays a similar role to Mayne, and Mayne probably has the runs on the board this year. Tough call.

I drop Oxley or Magen before Murphy

Yes but is he a starter over Oxley Murphy Howe Moore and Goldsack or even over a midfeilder sent in to defence to make room for Treloar
I think he is a starter over at least 4 of those players you named and probably Greenwood also on his form this season.
Appleby can play on talls or smalls and rarely gets beaten 1 on 1 and is a tight defender who is 19 and looks like a fixture down back and Moore I would not risk playing again this season.

Do we hold Treloar back for prelim or knockout final ?

The double chance lets us hedge our bets.
Hate to see him go down again if rushed in

That said, can’t wait to see him back

Personally think it will be tough with Madgen/Oxley and Murphy.
Howe in is a given you'd think.
I reckon we may need to roll the dice on Moore. Even though he has cost us by missing parts of games, I don't think Madgen can cope against the better big forwards. Moore is also a much larger intercept threat and can hurt coming out of defence.

Highly doubt hes a starter in our best 22 if we get no further injury issues.

Howe will come in for Oxley and Moore or Goldsack for Madgen so he has to beat the rest into that Murphy position.

If we play the WCE, with Kennedy and Darling, we probably need Moore to come in and I wouldn't be against sending Mihocek back for portions of the match.

Out: Oxley, Murphy
In: Howe, Moore

Big question is who goes out if Treloar ready.

Want to see Greenwood straight to Shuey like a bad rash. Or could we mix it up and send him to Yeo as he can be very dangerous.

For anyone interested Treloar will be on the Sunday Footy Show , if you sit through the crap!!
Haven't watched TFS for years - can't stand the stupidity of the panel. Last time I watched it I felt 20% dumber after the first 10 minutes.

FMD what a load of tripe!

Not even Treloar could entice me to watch it.

I wouldnt be dropping any mids. Probably drop Murphy and move a mid into defence....Varcoe or Greenwood perhaps.

Aish the most likely to be on the chopping block if a mid goes out

Zero chance Greenwood gets dropped.
Reckon he has the least flexibility. Martin dragged him deep in their forward line and dominated him. Honestly think he would go

Nobody else was going to do a better job that day than Greenwood. The Richmond midfield ball movement was the problem, not Greenwood. One out against Martin and very few players will stop him especially when your best six key defenders are out injured.
