I have a question for the Bigfooty board. With all the talk about Dusty coming to North before, what actually happened to Phillyroo? Is he still around or did he actually delete his account because of a bet? I really enjoyed his posts and optimism throughout that whole time!

He's lost his password, as well as the old email account he signed up with so can't reset it. Pretty sure he lurks.

Can a mod or admin send him a password reset somehow? Plenty of posters here run into him at games and various social media things.

If he doesn't remember the email it would be difficult to do. Unless he has the thing synced to his phone and sending a password reset would give him a push notification

He could always just sign up with a new account

Although I was under the impression that he'd quit the site after losing the bet

Against other teams in the 8, Richmond are 1-1 (we are 2-0). 5 other wins against teams outside the 8. No doubt Richmond are playing well, but not as well as the hype from the media.

Remember the commentary last year in the lead up to the game against Adelaide in Hobart?

Hoping for the same result. ;):thumbsu:

Waite: I'm not a great watcher, but that was a good one to watch. The boys showed some great resolve and that might have been one that we could have lost in recent years.
Waite on Wood: It was great to see Mason step up, he might have taken my spot now.
Waite: We are quietly confident we can do something really good this year. We have a big game this weekend against the Tigers, it's obviously going to be a tough game considering their form and being the reigning premiers.
Waite: Internally, we definitely aren't surprised with where are at this stage.
Waite: If I didn't think that I could contribute, I would have retired last year. I think I've shown I can still contribute and the teams form has definitely helped that.
Waite: Some of the younger boys are really starting to develop and are pushing us senior boys for our spots. It's great to see, and is something we might not have had in recent years.
Waite on Jacobs: He just gets the job done. He's really important to us. He's not just a shutdown player, and showed that on Saturday getting nearly 30 touches.

While any type of victory would be most welcome, I’d prefer a hard fought close victory this week rather than an Adelaide (last season) & Hawks (this season) type of win. There’s always the suggestion of “catching the opposition off guard” with fast starting blowouts. That’s me trying to be objective - after the fact(if it were to happen that way). Right now, I’d like a 10 goal first quarter and go from there!

Beating Richmond doesn't qualify as an "upset" around these parts.

We've been handing you your arse for the best part of 40 years.
I love how fans are getting more and more confident as the week goes on.

I wouldnt be suprised if you won, but people are talking like North should be short favourites in here! Might make for some interesting quotes and bumps on Sunday arvo

In the 2012-16 era when they were rated ahead of us based on 'talent' and potential'

And we towelled them up time and time again.

Thats how I see Richmond this week. Dusty playing sore after the Melbourne game and 3 games in 13 days.
Cotchin battling a calf.
Ellis out of form.
No Prestia.

Gonna be a belter

Really impressed by the way this young fella speaks.

Hes not in shit form lol.
Carey also had a peak year, every player has a "best year"
Yes he did. Carey's peak year was 1993-1999.

It's all about game plan with them. It covers their deficiencies and maximises their strengths.

When was Carey's peak? Dusty isn't in his best form.

Small forward have given us problems all year.
Hawks, Swans, Port, Melb. all had their smalls give us a bath.
Richmond have a ton of them. tough game for us.
They have been amazingly blessed with injury in the last 18 months which is allowing continuity for their entire playing list and great form. They can't continue to play this well long term, a few chinks are starting to show on the injury front. Let's see how they shape up away from the 'G' and against a team in good form.

They won't admit it, but if I were a Richmond supporter I would think this week is the most likely loss since the Adelaide game all things considered, maybe the Collingwood game but once again, blessed with an extra days break Luckmond.

I think he's out there lurking, coz he 'liked' a post when someone slagged Mason Wood on Saturday night

Caracalla and Neil Balme effect plus good run with injury and soft draw = FLAG

Which year do you think was Carey's best season? Every player has a best season if you have to rank them. A career best season is essentially their peak. Carey was magnificent for multiple seasons, that doesnt mean he doesnt have a career best year or peak.

Like every good coach ever.
This is coaching 101 and what every coach should be trying to do with their list. Minimise weakness and play to strengths.
