At most I’d bring in Burgoyne for Evans.

Definitely give Visentini another game ahead of Sweet, and Sinn ahead of Jones irrespective of recovery from injury.

Even with the 9 day break, give Rozee another full week to recover and allow Mead another proper go at in the middle.

I don’t mind us playing the four taller players forward, and with SPP out for the rest of the year would go with that structure, so long as Finlayson and Georgiades are two of those players.

Importantly, no injuries. So any changes are purely tactical.

Not sure if you can carry Boak, Burgoyne and Sinn as wings in the same team for a whole game. But Bergman at half back is better than on the wing.

Evans for Burgoyne. And then Sinn to sub makes some sense.

Other changes will depend on recoveries from the injury list.

In: Sweet + Burgoyne
Out: Visentini + Sinn

We all know McEntee’s not getting dropped even though he conceded 2 key goals to the opposition and made some crucial errors and fumbles at key times in the game.

Lol. Conceded a goal meaning Tom Stewart - a guy who has made the All Australian team 5 of the last 6 years - took a mark against him at half back on the boundary line and Geelong kicked a goal from the turnover. What a shocking error, just horrible.

They say Butters will be fit.
Butters in Evans out.

Port want Sinn in the side think he stays.

Jordan Sweet is as good as he is going to to get. I'm worried that Port promised him the world to get him over here.

It would be completely irresponsible to put him back in over Dante.

Dante looked better than Sweet preseason and looked better again against Geelong and there's an upside.

Dante should get a little block here while Soldo is out along with a few games here and there to manage Soldo.

Next year with that one more Preseason he's a gun ruck.

Playing Sweet over Dante is just sabotaging Dantes development.

Surely Dixon is due for another rest as well? Was subbed "tactically" out of last night but also injured himself at training earlier in the week.

Hawthorn don't have the tallest defenders so playing a 3 man KPF system shouldn't require a direct tall replacement for Dixon right away.

Oh yeah, Jed made his usual errors in the game. The Jedheads are a funny lot. Celebrate the odd positive like a grand final win. Farrell laid a big tackle on Stewart during the game. No mention of it because so many good tackles are laid in a game. But hey Farell is no Jed

Dixon (out due to managing), Lord (in after playing a blinder today)🤞🤞

Glad we finally got the cloning machine sorted, can we pop out a few JHFs from it?

Also probably worth noting in this thread that its the first of the Sir Doug Nicholls rounds and we'll Yartapulti and be rocking this:

I'm wondering if we play Lord off one sanfl game?

He is one of those players that plays better at the higher level.
I would give Charlie a rest and play Lord 100% or drop Marshall and play Lord.
Either way Lord should be in.
Bringing in a player coming off a serious, long term injury. Off one game in the SANFL (which may very well be a shitshow). Who is just OK at the best of times. Into a team that just won at Kardinia Park.

Mmmmm

Just ok? 4 goals in a away final is better than ok.
We brought MG in fast off a long term injury.
Marshall has been badly out of touch including last night.
Lord should play.

4 goals once. Rest of his games - meh.

We brought MG in after he had played a month of football and a full pre season of training

This but unironically.

If we're going to use a forward line spot on a player who offers absolutely nothing offensively, they need to be elite defensively to make up for it, not just good defensively. That means stopping your opposing half back from impacting the game, no matter how good a player they are. Jed isn't elite defensively. Tom Stewart doesn't take that mark on an elite defensive forward.

Lol. He did stop Tom Stewart impacting the game. One or two moments from a player of that quality in a 120 minute game is inevitable. Just take the L, he was great.

'One or two moments'. Stewart was in Geelong's top 5 rated players on the ground. And for the record, McEntee was in our bottom 3, with one of the only two guys below him having played less than a quarter.

As always, the standard required from the Jedheads for Jed is leagues below the standard required from literally any other player on our list.
